Before I get into what I actually want to address in this post, I HAVE to address the elephant in the room. It’s January, it’s cold, and I’m wearing pumps without socks in this picture. No, DC didn’t randomly get hit with a 60 degree day (in fact, it was FREEZING when Ashlyn and I took these pictures), but instead I wanted to show you how I’ve been managing my work outfits when it’s freezing cold and I have to wear snow boots to get to work.

Instead of keeping my snow boots on all day (which I have done before), I instead carry a pair of pumps and slide my feet into these when I get to work. This plan isn’t revolutionary (basically every other woman in DC carries a pair of shoes to wear when they get to the office) but it’s been great for me during January when I decide to wear pants and my riding boots just won’t work with my outfit. This outfit though was great for Audrey’s bright colors link up for this week and to help continue to get me out of my neutrals rut.
Okay, now that I’ve cleared that up, it’s time for me to address the other elephant in the room. I’ve gotten the question of when Work Appropriate for Who is coming back to the blog. Well, no fear, but it’s coming back soon, I promise! After a successful Fall run, I wanted to take some time over the holidays to think about the feature and where I wanted to take it or continue it.
For those of you who may not remember (it has been a while), last Fall, I interviewed a bunch of bloggers and had them share their work style and what was appropriate for their office. It’s a topic that’s been important to me, since moving to DC, I feel like I hear never ending conversations about what’s appropriate to wear in the office.

The issue with that however is that everyone’s office is different and dress codes can be so different from company to company (even within the same industry). Even further, many women are choosing to work for themselves nowadays, so they can pick their own dress code. But then how do they decide what they want to wear when they have meetings? And for girls who blog full time, how do they decide what outfits best represent their brand?
Moving forward with Work Appropriate for Who? I want to address some of these questions. I plan on continuing to reach out to bloggers who work in a “traditional” office setting, but I also want to venture out to those who work for themselves or any settings that may not seem traditional. Also, while I plan to continue to keep the posts on Tuesdays, they won’t be weekly, but a little more spread out.

TLDR: I’m not crazy and bright colors are slowly coming back into my life. Also, Work Appropriate for Who is coming back but it won’t be weekly anymore. Also, if you want to participate, let me know!
