I didn’t realize how long it had been since I had done a shopping review post until I tried to figure out what number I was on. I sadly had to scroll back a lot farther than I expected. So I’m really sorry about that! I know everyone tends to really enjoy these posts, but time just got away from me in November and December.

Luckily, I’m back now and ready to review a few winter work wear pieces I’ve recently ordered.

Winter Work Wear Reviews

dc woman blogger wearing Ann Taylor Petite Cheetah Print Sweater Skirt

Ann Taylor Petite Cheetah Print Sweater Skirt, SP

I haven’t shopped at Ann Taylor in forever. I’ve window shopped a lot, but the high shipping rates have kept me away. But when I saw this skirt on Extra Petite and saw that it was on sale, I decided that it was time to end the break.

Let’s talk about the skirt. Sweater skirts tend to be very fitted, so I decided to go up a size, which worked out perfectly. The skirt fit like a charm and I love the stretchy but super soft fabric. I also love that this skirt is leopard print, but since it’s more tan, it doesn’t feet as aggressive. It’s like, leopard-lie.

Verdict: Keeping it.

dc woman blogger wearing Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Plaid Blazer

Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Plaid Blazer, Beige, Size 0

The Atlantic-Pacific collections are always filled with so many fun pieces. I don’t typically buy blazers (unless it’s a sweater blazer), but I loved the print for this one. Now, the fit for this blazer was spot on. I was actually incredibly impressed with how well it fit. But what I didn’t really like was how “puffed” the shoulders of the blazer are. I know that’s the style, but it’s not me.

Verdict: Return

dc woman blogger wearing Old Navy Lace-Trim Pleated Top for Women

Old Navy Lace-Trim Pleated Top for Women, Black, XS

I feel like I need to state this first. I know it looks like this top makes my hips look big, but I swear that’s just because of how it’s laying on top of the skirt. In reality, it looks great in person. The lace-trim on the top adds just enough to dress up the top enough to add a cute look to it. The fit of the is great. It’s a little loose, but still fitted enough that I could wear it to work.

Verdict: Keep

dc woman blogger wearing Old Navy High-Waisted Super Skinny Ankle Pants

Old Navy High-Waisted Super Skinny Ankle Pants, Navy, 4P

I already have these pants in green and black, but my navy pants were wearing thin, so I thought this would be a good time to replace them. These pants from Old Navy are so great. They have some stretch to them and are high-waisted so everything is covered up nicely (I’m really having a high-waisted moment here). Finally, I love that these are one of the few pairs of pants where I can get the petite size and not have to STILL shorten them.

Verdict: Keep

dc woman blogger wearing J.Crew Button-front mini skirt in stretch seersucker

J.Crew Button-front mini skirt in stretch seersucker, Blue White, Size 2

Ugh, this skirt. I wanted it last summer, but it went out of stock. Then it came back in stock recently and went on sale, so I snatched it up. The material is light and stretchy, so it would be perfect with tights for now or bare legged in the future. But, unfortunately the pleats on the skirt are so weird. They were sitting so funny in the front and poking out all the wrong ways. I was thinking that I could iron or steam it to fix it….but I just didn’t care enough.

Verdict: Return.

That’s all I have now for reviews! I’m expecting a few more pieces soon though, so get ready for more review posts soon!
