Last week started out incredibly slow (and with a lack of motivation). Luckily, it sped up and I had a lot of fun events to round out the end of the week. I also had a ton of great outfits at the end of the week.
Weekly Outfits 4/17
Monday
Old Sweater (Similar), Jeans, Shoes (Similar)
After doing all of the regular Monday things, I forced myself to go to Starbucks to catch up on work. Honestly, I don’t even remember what I did the rest of the day, just a lot of work.
Tuesday
Just another work day that added up to me not really leaving the house. Honestly, it was a pretty boring first half of the week.
Wednesday
I think the big thing of my day was washing my hair? I also forced myself to make icing today so I would be ready to make my sample mother day cookies. Sadly, I couldn’t build up the motivation to actually go make the cookies.
Thursday
Old Short Sleeve Sweater (Similar), Jeans, Flats
Okay, Thursday was a little more fun. I had a video call in the morning and then some work to do in the afternoon. I also finally made the cookies for mother’s day samples! In the evening, I met up with some of my book club friends for dinner and then to see Curtis Sittenfeld give an author talk. It was a lot of fun and I loved seeing some local authors there as well.
Friday
Another day of working and then I went with my husband to see the comedian, Hannah Berner, perform! She’s hilarious online, but she’s even funnier in person. The show didn’t disappoint and you should see her in person if you can.
Saturday
My husband surprised me earlier in the week with tickets to go see a Nationals Game with a few of our friends. But the game wasn’t until later in the day, so I spent the morning working on mother’s day cookies. After a game delay because of a downpour (which I did, sadly, get caught in), we finally headed over and had such a good time.
Sunday
Old Top (similar), Jeans, Shoes
I’m just going to say it now. This outfit was the wrong choice. I saw that it’d be 80 degrees and I thought, well, I’ll be inside most of the day, so it’ll be fine. Uh, no. The restaurant we went to for brunch had opened all of the windows and doors, so you couldn’t really tell the AC was on. We had a short walk to go to J.Crew so I could do some returns, which wasn’t too bad. But after that, I was gently forced to take a long walk to find a cab. By the end of that walk, I couldn’t wait to go home and change my entire outfit. So while I looked cute, it was the wrong day for this outfit.
