My Weekend Uniform

There’s been a lot of talk lately about people coming up with a work uniform. An outfit combination that they can easily put together for work so they don’t have to think in the morning. They can just throw it on a go, without a second though. That’s a great idea, but I’ve found I don’t really gravitate towards that idea. Instead, I find myself gravitating more towards a weekend uniform.

Why?

Well first, I need a little variety in my work outfits. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a skirt, sometimes it’s a pants day, and sometimes I don’t want to think, so it’s a dress day. I have a few reliable pieces, but no real uniform.

On the weekends though, I’m all about my weekend uniform.

I’m definitely a jeans girl. Which is also really funny to hear myself say because I refused to wear jeans until 6th grade (like, refused). But now, I’m all about them. I live for casual Fridays when I can wear jeans to work. So obviously jeans are a must.

For the shoes? Always the flats.

I need to be able to move around! In the winter, I have no choice to substitute these for some version of flat boot, but it’s still flat. I will sub them out for heels though if I have some sort of evening plans.

Finally the top.

This can swing two ways, depending on the weather (obviously). In the winter, I’m all about the sweaters. In the fall and spring, a mix of layers. Either way, I like to keep it simple and easy, just like my style.

Do you have a weekend or work uniform? What is it?
