I’m so excited to partner with Try.com for today’s Shopping Review posts! I’ve talked about Try.com on here a few times before, but I’ll do a quick refresher. Try.com is basically an easy way to shop online and try things on without actually having to pay for them first. You just install their Chrome plugin and then when you’re shopping on sites supported by Try.com, it’ll pop up! Then, if there’s something that you want to try on, you go to that item on the retailer’s website, click on the plugin, select your color and size, hit order, and done! Try.com will ship it to your house for you to try on. You then have seven days to Try it on and see if you like it. If you like it, then let Try.com know and they’ll charge you. If not, just send it back and share the tracking number, no money lost on your part. (PS If you’re feeling antsy right now, scroll to the bottom for a fun treat for you first!)
Now on to the reviews!
Gal Meets Glam Collection Edith City Crepe Fit & Flare Dress, Size 0
This dress was absolutely beautiful and I love the little twirl that the skirt had. Plus, the material is just heavy enough that you could easily wear it into winter. But, it’s too long on me. I really wish that the Gal Meets Glam line eventually expands to petites, because right now their midi dresses just aren’t made for petites. I would need to get this shortened if I want to keep it. However, I’m not in love with the dress enough to justify it.

Gal Meets Glam Collection Amy Polka Dot Fit & Flare Dress, Size 0
I definitely loved the idea of this dress. It’s so cute with the polka dots and the bow in front. Except that was the problem. It was too cute. I think it brought my approximate age down just a bit too much. The fit of the dress was great though and the dress was really well structured. The color of the dress is a little off though. It’s kind of green, but kind of not at the same time? The color in this picture is a little bit off, but it’s pretty close to the actual color of the dress. I think the color is what turned me off the most.

Loveappella Short Sleeve Wrap Top Jumpsuit, X-Small
My latest obsession that I’ve been on the hunt for? A little black jumpsuit. I figure I can wear it to work or out. I wasn’t sure how this one was going to fit because it sat pretty funny in the model’s pictures online. But, when I put the waist at my actual waist, I loved how it looked! The jumpsuit is also made out of a jersey material that makes it super comfortable. The only thing I don’t like is the cinched ankles at the bottom. But, I’m wondering if I got it, then I could bring it to my tailor and he could let the cinching out. Hmmm.
Verdict: Returned, but I might go back for them.
Bobeau Knit Surplus Jumpsuit, XX-Small Petite
My boss really likes to refer to what people wear during Karate as their fancy Karate Pajamas (don’t get angry, she’s just doing it to tease her husband who does Karate). But that was all I could think while I tried these on. These would be my fancy pajamas. I think it was how the top was cut but they just looked a bit too pajama like. And while you want your jumpsuit to FEEL like pajamas. You don’t want it to actually look that way.
Verdict: Return
Charles Henry Belted Crop Jumpsuit, X-Small
Ugh, sorry for the blurry image! By the time I realized the images were blurry, I had already sent the pieces back. Which should tip you off to the fact that I didn’t keep this jumpsuit. Don’t let the pictures deceive you, I couldn’t get it zipped all the way up in the back. The top of the jumpsuit was SO TIGHT! I could go up a size, but I also wasn’t the biggest fan of the neckline. The material of this jumpsuit was the nicest of the three though.
Verdict: Return
Dr. Scholl’s Everett Band Loafer, 6 M
I’ve been staring at this shoes online for the longest time. But the price was just a little too high. Well the price dropped, so it was the perfect time to try it out with Try.com. Well, the second these shoes arrived, I knew I wouldn’t be taking them off. I should’ve know because they were Dr. Scholls. They’re just so comfortable! I love the fun twist that the raised stripes give it and the pretty lilac color of the shoe is something I wouldn’t normally go for. Since the stripes are a dark navy blue, I’ll be able to pair them with my navy sweaters and wear these shoes into the fall and early winter!
Verdict: Keep
Boden Jasmine Ottoman Dress, Size 2
I don’t know how, but this was my first time ever trying a dress from Boden! Sadly, it wasn’t the best experience. The ribbed material felt kind of cheap and maybe I was wearing the wrong bra and underwear, but alllllll of the lines showed. I’m definitely going to give Boden a second chance, but it won’t be with this dress.
Verdict: Return
I’ve been using Try.com for a couple of years now and it’s honestly been pretty great. Especially since they work with sites like ASOS, Nordstrom, and Madewell. I love being able to try clothes on at home (which I’d much rather do) with out having to pay any money.
Now, it’s time for the treat that I mentioned earlier.
If you sign up for Try with this link then you’ll receive $25 off of the first item that you decide to keep!! That’s basically like getting a $25 gift card to the store of your choice. How could you not at least TRY (ha ha) out the service once?
Let me know if you do and if you have any questions!
