When Bri announced that this month’s third Thursday threads were going to be sandals, I was thinking about dressing up this pair of wedges I have. Then I stopped, looked down, and figured, why not give some blog time to the sandals that have survived the past 4 years of my life?
Also, forget the fancy outfit today. While 95% of the outfits I post are ones that I’ve worn, I haven’t really posted my hanging out at home/running errands outfit: during the winter, it’s a long sleeve shirt, jeans, and boots, but once it gets warm (or when DC decides to go above 80) it’s a tank/tee and shorts.
We can talk more about my quick-grab outfits later though. Today, we’re here to talk about sandals.
(I actually really wanted to call this post, ye old faithfuls, because that’s how I feel about the 3 pairs of sandals I’m talking about today.)
Hat: Sole Society (Same)
Tank: Target (Similar)
Shorts: American Eagle Outfitters (Same)
Pair 1: American Eagle Outfitters
If I had the option to never throw these out, I would. They’ve become my every day flip flops and I’ll be absolutely torn up the day I can’t wear them anymore.
Pair 2: Target
I actually bought these during my senior year of college because I needed a pair of white sandals for sorority recruitment in the fall. I found them at Target at the beginning of the summer and then proceeded to wear them ALL THE TIME throughout the summer. It actually got to the point where I had to make a concerted effort to stop since I didn’t want to ruin them before recruitment actually happened. Joke was on me though, because 4 years later, I’m still wearing them (they are getting a little close to retirement though).
Pair 3: Target
After so much luck with the pair from Target (above), I couldn’t resist this version. Like my white pair, I’ve been wearing them for four years now. I love love love the turquoise addition to these and it definitely adds to whatever outfit they’re worn with.

I have a pair of flip-flops that I stole from my mom years ago that are still going strong too! I love shoes like that!
Love the turquoise stones on those sandals! Definitely a fun pop of color with any outfit. Thanks so much for linking up 🙂
