Burning the candle at both ends. Has it ever happened to you? It’s not that unusual of a thing that it hasn’t happened. That doesn’t make it any less hard when it happens though.

Last week was a particularly rough week for me (you probably already know if you follow me on instagram). It started out really well with all of my posts and social media for the week up and ready to go. I was ready to have a slightly more relaxing week and take it easy. Monday was normal, though maybe a little tired, but it went downhill after that. I started sleeping really poorly (I still don’t know why) and felt like I was walking through a fog Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Between that and working a lot at both jobs, I just felt completely burned out. I’ve always been very protectful of my sleep and how much I get, so it was hard to be going to bed early, hoping that would fix everything and then wake up multiple times throughout the night. Capped off with getting migraines from lack of sleep, the week was rough.
This story doesn’t have some tragic ending or happy cure-all, it’s just how my week ended up being. I lucked out and was able to sleep through the night by Thursday (or maybe Friday), so I felt much better by the time Friday hit. It was a good reminder though of how much sleep is important and how much of an effect it can have on my day and productivity (and migraines).
