I’m back and more awake than yesterday! Sorry if yesterday’s post was a little shorter than normal. As I mentioned, I was pretty much wiped out by the time Sunday night rolled around and I realized that I still hadn’t written the text for Monday’s post. Well, lesson learned and if you want to learn a little bit more about the outfit, I actually talked about it in yesterday’s Facebook post.
Now on to this outfit! I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been going a little jackets crazy this year. I remember that growing up and in college I could count the number of jackets I had on one hand and didn’t see a reason to add more. I had a pea coat, a winter jacket, and a lighter jacket, so what more did I need?
Since sadly a lot of those coats started kicking the bucket in the past two years, I’ve been thrown into the world of jackets and all of the fun options out there. Remember this leopard print one? Or this utility jacket? How did I not realize how much it could change up things??
This one is a beauty also. I had kind of ignored the blazer type jackets since blazers and I tend to get in fights (it’s the whole collar thing…don’t ask). But I love how this one has the open neck and cute little clasp in the middle so the wind doesn’t blow it open when I’m outside. When I was looking at it on the site I didn’t think that I would really be into the textured fringe either, but lo and behold, I kind of love it.
Also, yes, I completely copied how they styled it on the site. I love my pixie pants and any excuse to pair them with a fun (but neutral) top is a go ahead for me.
PS These shoes are the ones I mentioned in my “Currently” post last week. They’re surprisingly comfortable and a good copy of the Madewell flats.
