October is the official month of all things spooky, right? So why not curl up with a few good mysteries and thrillers before October is over? Or, if you can’t get to them before the month is over, they’ll be just as good to read in November under a cozy blanket.
5 Chilling Mysteries and Thrillers
Lethal White by Robert Galbraith
Bit of a confession here: I haven’t finished this book. I’m actually not even that far into it. But I love the Cormoron Strike series and I love JK Rowling’s writing, so I’m positive I’m going to be just as creeped out by this one as well.
Sadie by Courtney Summers
This story is told from three different view points: Sadie’s, a podcast called “The Girls”, and the host of “The Girls” as he investigates Sadie’s disappearance. Part novel, part mystery, part podcast, this novel was amazing as an audiobook. If you can get it over audio, I would definitely suggest reading it that way.
The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
You have a week to figure out who killed Evelyn Hardcastle and each day you’ll get to play the part of a different character at the party, good luck. From an evil footman to a number of alcoholics and false idenities, you’ll spend the entire book trying to unravel the mystery, and still be surprised at the end.
The Elizas by Sara Shepard
I reviewed the Elizas a while back, so go read my review here! The Perfectionists is a two book series by Sara Shepard that’s also a good, creepy alternative.
Before I Let Go by Marieke Nijkamp
This was such a good wtf is going on here novel that gave me chills the entire time. Check out my mini instagram review, but really, just go order the book.
Do you have any suggestions of other good chilling mysteries and thrillers? Let me know!
