We’re hitting that weird time of year where everyone is starting to stock Fall clothes, but the weather is still in summer mode. So what’s a girl to do? Well, she looks for clothes that scream summer to fall at J.Crew Factory. Okay, yes, some of these clothes lean a little bit more towards fall, but they were on super sale, so it made more sense to scoop them up now rather than wait.

J.Crew Factory Lace T-shirt (Green), Size 0

I love this shirt! I actually got the same one in white last year, so I figured that this one would fit about the same. Well, it does. My favorite thing about this top is that it’s lined so you don’t need to worry about wearing a tank underneath. The one only thing I’m iffy about is the neckline. I wish it was closer to a crew neck or a round neck. It’s just kind of an in between. But, I love the rest of the lace shirt enough that I’m keeping it (and getting it in black).

Verdict: Keep

J.Crew Factory Woven-collar sweater, XS

Finally, all the glamour of a sweater with a shirt layered underneath without actually having to layer. It’s a beautiful thing. The material for this sweater is fairly thin (it’s not see through though, don’t worry. I just don’t want you to think that it’s really thick.) The sweater material is soft though and very true to size.

Verdict: Keep I think Maybe?

J.Crew Factory Cotton-wool Teddie sweater, XS

The good: the fit is great and I love that this is a deep golden color. The bad? It’s a tiny bit itchy. But it’s an itchy that I think will fade after a single wash and then get really soft.

Verdict: Keeping it.

J.Crew Factory Cotton V-neck sweater, XS

This top is oddly large. The v isn’t too low, which was surprising, but it just overall felt to big. I went to read the reviews and it looks like everyone on the site actually agreed with me. I’m not super in love with the top, but I am going to try on the xxsmall just to see how the fit is.

Verdict: Exchanging it.

J.Crew Reversible button-back sweater, XS

Isn’t this sweater adorable? You can wear it forwards or backwards so you’re really getting a sweater and cardigan in one. What a bargain! I can’t lie, it doesn’t look that great buttoned up in front, but I do love the look with the buttons in the back. It’ll also be great to use as a a cardigan.

Verdict: keep

J.Crew Factory Sweater-blazer, XXS

I honestly can’t decide how I feel about this sweater blazer. The material is super comfortable, stretchy, and it’s definitely warm. What is throwing me off is that I can’t decide if it’s too long. Does it look too long? Also, I know I should fold the collar down, but I didn’t feel like it.

Verdict: Help!! Let me know what you think!

J.Crew Factory tie-front dress

I have been searching for a good tie-front dress all summer! I would have preferred it to be in navy, but I can settle for black as well. This one is incredibly comfortable and it made out of cotton (so pretty comfortable material). It’s also true to size. I’ve paired it with short heels a few times already and it’s been great for work.

Verdict: Keep

J.Crew Factory tulip wrap midi skirt, 0

It looked cute online, so why not? In person, it just felt meh. The material was polyester and fairly stretchy. I wasn’t too crazy about this skirt. It could work for work, but I couldn’t see myself wearing it too much.

Verdict: Return

J.Crew Factory pleated midi skirt, 0

If J.Crew Factory puts out another cute pleated mini skirt, I’m basically required to try it on, right? Right. Okay, maybe not. But I did. This one is also incredibly cute and true to size. However, I just couldn’t justify buying another one. I also knew the stars wouldn’t get as much wear as my stripes one would.

Verdict: Return

J.Crew Factory Drapey wide-leg crop pant in Navy, XS

OKay, so I know that these are supposed to be big, but these are definitely too big. The band was big around my waist and the hem was a little too long. I’ve decided to send these back and see how the smaller size fits.

Verdict: Exchanging these again.

J.Crew Petite button-back linen shift dress, 0P

After the dressing rooom fail review, I was curious to see if J.Crew has this dress in navy. Lo and behold, they do and the only one left was in my size! The sad thing though, what normally makes dresses kick button is what ruins this dress: the pockets. The pockets are too long and add to much material to the dress. It makes the dress poof out around my hips and thighs, drawing too much attention there. It really is a shame since this dress could be so cute otherwise. I debated keeping it and then bringing it to the tailor to have him remove the pockets, but that’s $62 for the dress and then at least $30 in tailoring. I can’t justify that.

Verdict: Sadly return.

J.Crew Factory Short-Sleeve Tie-Shoulder Dress, 00 Bronzed Topaz

I had such high hopes again considered I ordered down a size from the chambray dress. Well those hopes were shattered. So first, my chest was still the tiniest bit too small for the dress (I even went down a size!). The shoulders did fit well (the tie sleeves helped) and the waist also fit. I love the color, but not enough to keep this dress.

J.Crew Factory Block-heel sandals, 6

I’m in love with these sandals. There’s absolutely no break in period, they’re so comfortable right away. The shoes have a low heel as well, so you can walk forever wearing these shoes. They’ve been selling out and restocking, so snatch them up when you can! They also have them in white and snakeskin!

Verdict: Keeping!
