I know I said I was going to slow own on the shopping and I kind of have, but I still have a few more orders coming in from right before I said that…but hey, it’s just more reviews for you to read, right?
J.Crew Gingham Pleated Mini Skirt (Size 0)
I got this as an add on to my J.Crew order but when I got it and tried it on….I didn’t want to return it! The fit was true to size and a little longer than you would normally get with a “mini” skirt (which I actually really liked. My only complaint is that I wasn’t quite sure exactly how to steam it to get the wrinkles out but keep the pleats. If you have any suggestions, help!
Verdict: Keep
I’ve been on the hunt for a white crop top and I thought this might be the winner. It fit well and the little zipper up the back was a cute touch. Ultimately though, the material was a little cheaper than I would have preferred and a little too thin.
Verdict: Return
I’ve also been on the hunt for a navy midi after the Ann Taylor one was too big. This one actually fit perfectly, but I really couldn’t figure out where I would really wear it. It was a little too fancy for work and I don’t really go to a lot of events where it would be appropriate. Sadly, I just couldn’t justify keeping it.
Verdict: Return
I love loose, relaxed shorts, but these were just too pajama like. In fact, they were so comfortable I probably could have worn them as pajamas. Since I already got a pair of loose printed shorts this summer, I didn’t really have a reason to keep these.

H&M Patterned satin blouse (Size 4)
I was so excited about this top. It’s everything I love in a top: dressy enough for work but okay for weekends, black and white print that isn’t overwhelming, and faux-layered. Unfortunately, the fabric had no give and was a little too tight, especially around the arms and shoulders. I may try a size up if I find it in stores….but otherwise, it’s getting returned.
Verdict: Return
J.Crew Eyelet Shorts (Small)
Hello shorts that are too big. I ordered up a size out of fear that XS would be too tight…but it looks like small was too big. Basically, it’s a no-go.
Verdict: Return
This dress was way too long, but other than that it was perfect! I could easily see dressing it up with heals or pairing it with a cardigan for work. I’m going to have to get it hemmed, but I realized that I have free alterations at Nordstrom. For $27, this dress was a serious steal.
Verdict: Keep
This dress fit really well and it had pockets…but it was more purple in person that I was hoping. I thought it would be more blush, but it went more towards lavender. I’m not really a fan of purple, so back to the store it goes.
