Guys, I gave in and did a little shopping. Luckily, as per usual, I also did a lot of returning. Read on to see what I kept from Old Navy, J.Crew, and ASOS.
I’ve mentioned on here that I was looking for a new chambray and I found it! Quickly too! I was really impressed with how soft this one from Old Navy is and how well it fit. Normally I have issues with the shoulders/arms being too tight with petite sizing, but this one was perfect.

Old Navy Peplum Cami (XS)
At this point, basically every blogger has this top, so I was pretty darn curious about it. The material was honestly a little cheaper and thinner than I expected. However, I love the colors on it, they’re basically all my favorite colors to wear, so I know that it’ll go with most of the things I own. Plus, the lose fit will be perfect for the overly humid DC summers.

Um, no. The print was cute, but this fit and cut made it look like I was hanging out in the 1930s. I just can’t do this straight down cut. Plus, because of how it was sewed in the back, it gave me a weird poof above my seat.
Verdict: Return.
Verdict: Return.
This top was also part of my on going chambray hunt. I’ve had good experiences with popovers, so I figured I’d try another one. This one had way too much fabric though.

I can’t resist stay spotless jeans, I really can’t. Sadly, they weren’t kidding when they said super skinny. These basically felt like a second skin. Which, during summer doesn’t feel great. I’m a little hesitant to go up a size because the length will be ridiculous, but I might try a nonpetite size for comparison.
Verdict: Return
I have a love hate relationship with button up shirts. I love how they look, but they never look great on me…or I don’t feel comfortable wearing them. I can say about this one though that the fabric is excellent, J.Crew really has that down. Also, the ruffle detailing is adorable. I don’t really know how much I would wear it, but I might consider reevaluating that if the price goes down.

I love another striped shirt, surprise, surprise. I wouldn’t normally like pom poms, but the ones on this shirt are so adorable that they add the perfect touch. I was iffy about the drop shoulder, but I love the loose fit of the top. Plus, with a gift card, I was able to get the price down to $23. What could be better?!

I love pieces that have an added surprise, like the gingham lining and pop of yellow in this trench. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the fit of the jacket, and the weight of the material. Unfortunately, the arms were too tight and I know I wouldn’t be able to layer something long sleeve underneath it. Going up a size will make it fit oddly everywhere else, so this is a no go.

Oh god, these flats were too cute. I love printed flats and these were no exception. I was even more impressed how true to size these flats were. Something just felt off about them though. I think I was just annoyed with having to strap my foot in (I have a thing about lace ups and buckles on my flats, even if they’re really simple).
