Since everyone seemed to enjoy the last shopping reviews I did, I thought I would do another round (since another round of orders came in).
Again, picture heavy, so follow the jump!
Madewell Polka Dot Trapeze Tank: I ordered this tank from Nordstrom after debating it for a while. When it finally went on sale, I gave it a go (Plus I was able to price match it and got it for $25!). I had to order a size 2 (as opposed to normal 0) because Nordstrom was sold out. Luckily, the 2 fit pretty well and I loved the material this was made out of (viscose). The material felt like it would be light enough for summer. The only downside it that it hung a little low under my arm, so I may quickly sew some of it so my bra doesn’t show too much.
Verdict: Keep!
Madewell French Drape Sweater (c/o Shopbop): You’ve already seen this sweater in Monday’s post, but I still thought I would share the decision making. I had thought that my Loft sweater from the last review answered my mint summer sweater hunt, but after trying this Madewell one on, it was clear that it was the winner. The material was much lighter and the length worked well with shorts (which is how I’m planning on swearing it during the summer).
Verdict: Keep! (And return the Loft sweater)
Madewell Eyelet Cami Overlay Dress (c/o Shopbop): So it doesn’t look like much in this picture, but I love how it looks in person. The dress hangs well and is so comfortable! I love how the eyelet dresses it up a little, but it’s still casual enough to wear throughout the summer.
Verdict: Keep
Splendid Lattice Trim Flare Dress (c/o Shopbop): I had higher hopes for this dress, but the material, while comfortable like a tee, was thin and cheaper looking in person.
Verdict: Return
Lou and Grey Oja Dress: I didn’t understand the distribution of material on this dress. It was tight around my hips, but then there was wayyy to much material around my waist. If that problem hadn’t existed, I would have had a harder time deciding about this dress, but the material distribution cinched it.
Verdict: Return
Loft Triangle Tie-Waist Shorts: Soft shorts walk a very very fine line between been looking like normal shorts and looking like pajama bottoms. Sadly, these crossed over the line into looking like pajama bottoms. Had the draw string waist been modified, it could have been saved, but sadly I don’t want to look like I just rolled out of bed.
Verdict: Return
Lou & Grey Summer Shirt: I finally found a button up shirt where the shoulders finally fit, but that’s where it’s good qualities ended. The shirt was see through and the gauzey material made it looked like it was wrinkled beyond belief.
Verdict: Return.
