Um, there are a lot of stripes in this post. I think I have a problem. Actually, I know I have a problem, but at least I know what I like, right? Anyways, here are a few pieces I picked up from J.Crew and J.Crew Factory while I was in Milwaukee. Also, you guys get the chance to see a little bit of my messy bedroom at home! Also, sorry that the pictures are a little cloudy, I should have cleaned off this mirror too, sigh.
I saw this online and the next day I was trying it on in the store. I think that’s the fastest turnaround I’ve ever had on a top. Luckily it was 30% off also, so it was kind of a no brainer. Aren’t the bows on the back adorable? I’m also debating another color, but I haven’t decided yet.
Verdict: So many keeps. Debating another color.
Yes to this sweater! The material is thick enough that it’ll keep me warm, so that definitely helped. It’s hard to tell in the picture but the sweater is navy and white. Also there’s a little red trim woven around the wrist which I love. The pop of color is enough to help keep it fun and unique.
Verdict: Keep
I had a lot of mixed feelings about this sweater. I love the gold stripes and I’m always a fan of funnel necks, but the neck kept laying kind of funny on me. The material was thicker than I expected (more like a heavier shirt than a sweatshirt), but also a little too stiff. The final decision though? I don’t know where I could wear this. I could wear it on the weekend, but not really to work.
Verdict: Return
(Left) J.Crew Factory Homespun Popover Shirt in Plaid (XS)
It feels like these popover shirts just keep getting bigger. This one wasn’t too bad, but I wasn’t in love with it.
Verdict: Return
(Right) J.Crew Factory Zip-Pocket Wool Mini Skirt (0)
I think I’ve already made it pretty clear that I love this skirt, so when I saw this fun white/gray color, it was a pretty clear yes. The skirt’s material was heavy enough and perfect just like the tan one.
Verdict: Keep
