Note: Today’s post is sponsored by ThredUp. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Something Good.
I saw the perfect tweet yesterday on twitter from Sandhya Menon (the author of When Dimple Met Rishi).
I thought it was pretty appropriate to today’s post because I saw it on Friday (thanks Twitter). But similar to today’s post, it also comes after International’s Women’s Day. But as Menon’s Daughter said, shouldn’t every day be International Women’s Day?

I remember when International Women’s Day happened last year.
At the time, it felt like the March on Washington had happened only minutes ago. Things were being thrown left and right and no one really knew where the punches were coming from. Now a year later, it feels like more progress has been made (though there’s still more to go). This year, I love how many more brands have come out to show their support towards women’s rights. They’ve also found more ways that their brands can also support women.
On thredUp, they’re celebrating women through their Shop Her Closet campaign.
Through the Shop Her Closet Campaign, thredUp partnered with their 30 top sellers to allow you “Take a peek into the dreamy closets of thredUP’s top 30 sellers—from your favorite celebs to badass moms—and shop their clothes and accessories for charity. 100% of the proceeds goes to Girls Inc., whose mission is to help empower the next generation of women to thrive.”
Plus, some of the girls shared their favorite style hacks!
One of the things that I love about thredUp is that it’s given me the opportunity to find new (and old pieces) from the brands that I love. So it’s even cooler that I now get to see pieces specifically given by women I look up to (Like Carly and J’s Everyday Fashion). Plus, as you all know, I have a love for brands that give back, so I love that thredUp was able to pick a brand that not only supports women, but also supports the next generation of girls.
