Saturday’s Something Good

This week has been super crazy busy with work stuff and I wasn’t quite sure if I would get a post up today, but then, umm I realized that Saturday’s Something Good from last week didn’t post *awkward turtle*. To make up for last week’s fail, you get a super edition Saturday’s Something Good!

Did anyone feel like the segment on the CMA’s where they gave Taylor Swift the Pinnacle Award kind of felt like the scene from Nashville where Juliette got the big award at the Opry? Also, I feel like I’m a little late to jump on the bandwagon for this one, but I don’t think I realized that the two sisters from Nashville were a youtube phenomenon. To make up for it, I ended up watching a lot of their videos last week.

Laughing so much at this. 

Came across this mini web series the other day and ended up watching all of it. I loved the explanation of dancer ranks and how a company works, but I would have loved to see more dancing. It made me want to rewatch all of Breaking Pointe again, so I may have to do that.

Another Saved By the Bell article. You knew you were missing something in your life.

I didn’t realize how excited I would get over seeing the Malificent trailer.

First a panda cam. Now a puppy cam?! Too much cuteness.

Speaking of not real reality TV, I picked up a copy of Lauren Conrad’s LA Candy at a book sale a few weeks back (it was a $1, so I figured why not) and I ended up finishing the entire series in about two days. While it wasn’t the best writing, it was interesting to see the parallels between parts of the story and “The Hills” (yes, I watched it). It’s a good option for something fun to read.

I’ve apparently been on a bit of a book binge, because in the past two weeks I’ve read (or am currently reading: A Dance with Dragons (Game of Thrones 5), Before Gaia, The Obituary Writer, Girls in White Dresses, The Red Badge of Courage, The Last Letter from Your Lover, and Foucault’s Pendulum.

On my to-read list (aka what the library is waiting for me to pick up):

If that didn’t prove my statement about my reading being a little all over the place right now, I don’t know what will.
