I think I might have jumped headfirst into 2016 a little too hard. Between a full time job and two part time jobs (counting the blog as one of those), I threw myself into everything maybe a little too much. After one too many days of coming home and basically collapsing into bed, I decided that it’s time to change things in my life a little bit.

I’ve started trying to reserve at least one day each weekend that’s just for me and doing things that bring me pleasure. That could be going to take a pure barre class, hang out with my friends, or just laying on the couch watching tv. Either way, it’s doing whatever I feel like will bring me the most joy that day.
I actually started implementing this in my life a couple of weeks ago and the change has already been amazing. It’s made me feel so much more refreshed and I no longer feel like I’m going into the week needing another weekend. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep this going and it’ll make managing things a lot more easier.
On a completely different note, I’m entering full flats mode, guys. The weather has been beautiful and I’m ready to put away my boots and bring out every pair of flats I own.
