Remember a few weeks ago when I had you all fill out a quick reader survey? Well the reader survey results are in! And they’re fascinating.
Oh, but before we get to that, I know you’re dying to know if you won the gift card to Everlane or not.
Well congratulations to Stafford Conn our giveaway winner! Expect an email from me soon! Now on to the results.

Old Navy Vest (this keeps going in and out of stock, so stalk it like a hawk if you want it) / Old Navy Sneakers / American Eagle Outfitters Jeans / Gap Sweater (Old, Similar) / Coach Bag (Old, Similar)
I decided for this survey I wanted to know about you and your thoughts on the blog. So that’s how I divided the survey! The first half was about the blog and then second half was about the blog.
And since everyone is really into themselves, let’s talk about you guys first.
First off, your shopping budgets. Not surprisingly, none of you spend over $500 a month on your clothes. In fact, the majority of you spend between $50 and $250 a month. I’m also really impressed with the self control the 16% of you who spend less than $50 a month on your clothing budget.
The stores you’re shopping at are primarily J.Crew, Old Navy, and Loft. But, a lots of you love to hit up Target, a local department store (so Nordstrom, Macys, Bloomingdates, Boston Store, etc), and consignment stores. Also, your answers have convinced me that I need to look at Express again since a number of you mentioned that too.
Finally, about half of you said that you’re primarily active on Instagram with a smattering also mentioning maybe pinterest or Facebook. But seriously guys, I don’t know how much I believe that you don’t aimlessly scroll facebook while you’re at work (unless it’s blocked).
Now, let’s talk about what you want to see here. Aka the changes you want me to make.
For favorites and least favorites, the voting was kind of close, but it was pretty clear that Shopping Reviews and outfit posts were a clear favorite and you want to see more of them. You also want to see more of both.
Everyone seemed pretty meh about Wednesday Wishlists….and truthfully, I’ve started to dread writing them. So after seeing these survey results, it pretty much sealed for me that it was time to finally drop this series.
What will it be replaced with? Well, it’ll be replaced with what you wanted to see more of, budget posts (and shopping reviews). I’ve loved sharing how you can build your wardrobe on a budget and I’m loving sharing budgeting tips posts with you (like my recent post on investing). Some of the post ideas you suggested included budget posts on decor budget, tracking your clothing budget, savings, a money dairy, and determining your budget.
Seeing and going through these reader survey results were so much fun and have been so helpful in seeing what direction I want to go in in 2018. I can’t wait to make more posts for you. If you have any more ideas for posts you want, please let me know! You can always comment on one of my posts or send me an email. I’m always happy to hear from readers.
