I have wanted to try out Quince ever since I heard about it. A company that offer luxury clothing and goods without the luxury price? I’m in. Quince offers pieces that are classic and perfect building blocks for any wardrobe and I have to stop myself from drooling whenever I look at the items there. But, I still haven’t tried their clothes. I’ve ordered bedding from Quince before, but I have no idea why I haven’t ordered the bags, clothing, or jewelry that they offer. This set me up perfectly though, when Quince approached me and wanted me to try out some of their newer activewear pieces. They didn’t even have to ask twice before I said yes!

If it’s your first time reading one of my shopping reviews (I know I haven’t done one in a while), I do want to let you know that I’m 5″0′ and I typically wear an XS on top and S on the bottom. Hopefully this can help you in figuring out sizing for the brand.

Reviews: Quince Activewear

After working in the fitness industry for four years, I’ve become very picky about what I wear for working out. I’ve tried so many brands that I could write paragraphs about what to avoid and who to shop from. So getting to try new to me activewear that’s at a really good price point? I’m in.

Quince Ultra-Form Performance Legging, Black, Size S, $39.90

First up, the leggings. I know that I could have chosen a more fun color to start with, but black is the building block in any wardrobe. Black leggings are a good way to compare between brands.

I was pretty impressed with these leggings. Right out of the bag they were super soft and easy to slide into. They also passed my hand test. What’s that test? Well, to figure out how see-through leggings are, I stick my hand in the fabric and pull it up. If I can see my spread out fingers, it’s a no go. It also means that your underwear will show through the leggings.

Additionally, I felt supported, but not constricted with these leggings. They weren’t super tight, but I did feel like all of the wobbly bits (yes, I’ve gone British) were held in.

Finally, I love a high rise legging and these hit the perfect point.

Would I buy these on my own? YES.

Quince Flowknit Ultra-Soft Performance Tee, Navy, Size XS

Next up, the performance tee! When I’m working out at home, I typically only wear a sports bra. However, when I’m going for walks, I prefer a tee. It helps keep me covered from the sun and since I’m super pale, that’s really important to me.

The first thing that I noticed and really liked about the top is that it didn’t feel like the typical spandex workout tops. It just felt like a really soft and stretchy, but breathable tee. It’ll be great in the hotter DC weather, but also work well throughout the spring.

In terms of the length, I would personally prefer it be a touch longer. If I’m wearing leggings, I like to have my butt covered, but that’s a personal preference. This length will be good with shorts though, so it evens out. I think that I would also like it if the shirt was a little less fitted, but I knew that it was fitted when I ordered it. Again, if I wanted to fix the length and fit, I could just go up a size.

Would I buy this top? Yes!

Quince Ultra-Soft Active Dress, Navy, Size XS

I’ve been looking for a great activewear dress since last summer. I took too long to jump on the bandwagon and by the time I realized how great they were, all the good ones were sold out. This summer, I’m not letting that happen. Quince’s performance dress was probably the first item I picked out and I’m glad I did. This dress was true to size and slid on so easily. I always worry about dress straps and if they’ll be too loose or long, but these ones were a great length. The top is cut a little lower than I would normally go for for athletic wear, but if you’re a little taller, it probably wouldn’t be too bad.

Underneath the dress, there’s a full body unitard (which I’m a big fan of) that connects to a pair of spandex shorts. The shorts even have a side pocket, which is absolutely key. Now, I will say, while there is a lining, I wouldn’t mind more support in the chest. Or some sort of padding? But it won’t be hard to find something to wear under my dress to help me out there.

Overall, I would definitely suggest you get this dress. It’s comfortable and it’ll be great for working out or just walking around outside.

After trying out these Quince activewear pieces, I’m firmly sold on the brand. I’m already plotting out what I’m going to buy there next.
