As I’ve become more and more settled with my wardrobe, I’ve been on the hunt for new accessories. When I was checking out To The Market, I knew that I had to share it with all of you here.
TO THE MARKET is a social enterprise focused on the promotion of goods made by and stories told by survivors of conflict, abuse, and disease all over the world. Current and upcoming partnering countries include: Afghanistan, Uganda, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Nepal, the United States and more.
What I love even more about this is that To The Market doesn’t bring the artisan goods to the market, but they also equip survivors with the tools needed to gain economic independence.
I was disappointed to miss their Pop Up at City Center in DC in May, but I loved browsing the site and seeing the wide variety of products. To The Market carries everything from clutches (like the one I’m carrying) to shoes to jewelry. I’m serious, this site has everything. Take some time to check it out and maybe even pick up a present for a friend (or Father’s Day)!
“TO THE MARKET firmly believes that the dignity of work is the most sustainable means of addressing long-standing social issues. This market-driven approach is unique in assisting the world’s most marginalized people.”
Note: This post was done in collaboration with To The Market, but as always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Something Good!
