My Summer 2018 Bucket List (and my summer f**k it list)

You know, I haven’t made a bucket list or a to-do list for the season in the longest time. I know a few people who do and I love reading theirs, but I never make one myself.

Well not this year! This year, I’m finally going to make myself sit down and write one. Not a long one, just a short one with a few fun things I want to do this summer. So here it is!

My Summer 2018 Bucket List

  1. Spent a few rainy days being lazy and enjoying being inside.
  2. Go see any movie that looks good.
  3. Go to at least one outdoor “Festival.” (Yes, I’m purposefully leaving that broad and open ended.)
  4. Read all fun books.
  5. Make a list of places in DC I still want to go to and then go there!
  6. Go on more dates (you’re welcome mom).
  7. Visit Roosevelt Island!
  8. See an outdoor movie.
  9. Visit more of DC’s best of ice cream stores list.
  10. See how many things I can do for free in DC.

While I was writing that, I realized that like all good things, this list needed a counterpart. Or rather, a sister list to the Summer 2018 Bucket List to balance it out. In that spirit, I present my:

My Summer 2018 F**k It List

  1. I won’t turn down a fun opportunity because I need to get blog work done. The blog work will be there tomorrow.
  2. If I start wishing that I had gone to pure barre instead of going on a date, I’m taking a break from dating.
  3. I won’t let work get in the way of life (just needed to reinforce that).
  4. If I’m iffy about going to something, I’ll go to it for at least 20 minutes.
  5. If I don’t want to go to something, I won’t go.
  6. I won’t let anyone make me feel bad about any of the above.

Phew! What do you think of my two lists?! Do you have a Summer 2018 Bucket List? Or a F**k it list? Do you think you’ll make one? If so, share it with me below (or send me a link)!
