If you’ve been following me on well, any social media really, you’ve probably noticed that I have a slight love affair going on with peplum tees.
It’s kind of funny actually, because when peplum came back into style, I wasn’t into it. I didn’t think it looked good on me and I wanted nothing to do with it. But unlike other trends, peplum hasn’t gone away (for now at least), in fact, it’s gotten better. It’s now a little looser, a little more relaxed, and a little more my style.
Back in the fall/early winter, Old Navy came out with a long sleeve peplum tee. It looked pretty cute, so I ordered it. As soon as it arrived, I was sold. I ordered it in two more colors and when striped came out, of course I jumped.
Now I’m resisting the urge to buy peplum tees in every color, but it’s so hard! I love the little flare they give to your basic tee and they’re just so much more fun. For my wallet’s sake I’m going to try to not buy any more, but that doesn’t mean I can’t encourage you to buy one or two (or ten). Below are some of my favorites.
I’m with ya… and have noticed these at other places now too, like JCrew Factory. But I can report that the Old Navy one is way better (much softer and better draping), so you don’t need to bother 😉
I was tempted by the J.Crew Factory one! It wasn’t good though? That is a little disappointing.
I hope Peplum sticks around for a few more months, because I think it’ll be a great style for once baby girl is born and I want to hide a bit of the excess flab around my midsection! Good to know you love the Old Navy ones!
I think you’ll be safe, Old Navy also just brought back one of my favorite peplum tanks from last summer, so I think they’ll keep going!
