I said during my last round of reviews that I had a bunch of Old Navy dress reviews I wanted to do and well…here they are! I pretty much ordered these dresses right after the last order fail. Also, I threw in three J.Crew reviews at the end, but get excited for a HUGE round of reviews coming up soon. The new round of Fall arrivals at J.Crew was too good to resist.
Old Navy Dress Reviews
Old Navy Ponte-Knit Sheath Dress, Navy Stripe, XS Petite
Sorry not sorry about picking up another good ponte dress. Even though I really don’t know when I’ll be going back into the office next. But this one dress gives me the excuse to get rid of at least two more old dresses, which is key.
As always, the Old Navy ponte dress is true to size. This one zips up the back, but it’s super easy to zip by yourself. And yes, it’s super comfortable.
Verdict: Keep
Old Navy Waist-Defined Slub-Knit Midi T-Shirt Dress, Tierra Red, XSP
After the disappointment that was the blue non-petite version of this dress, I really thought that this one would be a winner. But it was still pretty meh to me. It was definitely comfortable, but I wasn’t that excited about it overall. I also think it could have been hemmed an inch to make it slightly better.
Verdict: Return
Old Navy Twist-Front Ponte-Knit Sheath Dress, Spice Girl, XS
I was so convinced I was going to love this dress in person. When I actually tried it on though….nope. My normal size was too tight on me and I just couldn’t get the dress to sit correctly on me. The twist wasn’t cute, it just emphasized all of the bad parts. The only thing I did like about it was the color, which was kind of cute.
Now, that all being said, I have seen a girl wearing the leopard version of the dress and it looked super cute on her. But the dress hung kind of loose on her, so maybe that’s the key? But I’m not that devoted that I’m going to try sizing up to get the perfect fit.
Verdict: Return
Old Navy Floral-Print Waist-Defined Midi Dress, Red Floral XS Petite
This dress is completely out of my comfort zone, but I thought it would be fun to try something completely different. Well, the dress was okay. The pattern was really cute in person and close up. The dress was also super comfortable. But I just couldn’t really see myself wearing the dress. I also couldn’t figure out where I would wear it. Yes, if I tried hard enough I could come up with something, but it’s not my style and I’m not going to force it.
Verdict: Return
J.Crew Ruffleneck Tiered Dress, Camel Black, XSP
I love this dress, but I can’t really decide how I feel about it. I think it would be super cute with a pair of black tights and ankle boots, but we’re so far away from that season right now. This dress is also super out of my comfort season. I just can’t decide and I need a second opinion!
Verdict: I have no idea
J.Crew Tipped beach sweater, Natural Navy, XS
I love this sweater. At first, I thought that it might be a little itchy, but after wearing it for a few minutes, I settled into it and it was so comfortable. Also, I love the little navy outline on the edges of the sweater. It’s a cute little detail that adds a little extra to the sweater. I think that my only complaint about it is that the neckline is a little too wide to wear a t-shirt underneath it. But maybe I can wear a tank instead. Either way, this sweater is a must have.
Verdict: Keep.
J.Crew Tipped beach sweater, Sand Natural, XS
So obviously this is the exact same sweater as above but in tan. Normally I love wearing this color, but it’s a little too dark in this case. Or maybe a little more brown than I normally like? Either way, I’m not as much of a fan of this color.
Verdict: Return…I think.
That’s all for this round of reviews, keep an eye out for the big J.Crew review!
