I don’t have much to talk about….except for the first update, so let’s just jump into it!
Currently, Vol. 56: A New Puppy!
appreciating
My new puppy! Yes! My boyfriend and I got a new puppy! She’s a miniature dachshund, her name is Rosie, and she’s the most adorable thing ever. She’s also a little rascal when she wants to be one.
We’ve had her for about three weeks now and it’s been an exhausting, but completely fun three weeks. It’s been a complete change up to our schedule and we’ve had to get use to taking her out at random times, but it’s so worth it. I love cuddling with her and playing with her, even if she’s trying to eat my shoes.
ordering
So many threads for my needlepoint projects and supplies for my Cricut machine. And books, somehow more books than I can keep up with, which is surprising given how fast I read. I should really calm down on both since whenever I want to craft or read, I end up taking a nap. So either I need to sleep more so I have more motivation to do both OR I just need more motivation in general.
perfecting
New recipes and dinners. I’ve really been eating the same dinners for all of quarantine and now that we’re into cozy fall/winter season, I might actually be ready to try something new. I tried a pumpkin mac and cheese for dinner the other night, and while it wasn’t amazing, at least it was a new recipe. There’s a long list of recipes that I want to try on my Pinterest board, so I’m ready to keep trying though! (image via AmbitiousKitchen.com)
planning
My trip home to Wisconsin! We’re going back for Thanksgiving and it’ll be a long drive back, but it’ll be totally worth it. I’m excited to see my parents and grandparents. They’ll also get to meet Rosie, which will be super fun as well. The only (semi) downer is that this time I’ll actually be working remotely for the first week that I’m there, so it’s not a full vacation. But at least it’s home.
wearing
Well, we all know I’ve wearing all the sweaters from J.Crew right now. And some sweaters from Everlane thrown in there. I just love cold weather and sweater season, so I’m so excited to break out all of my sweaters. There’s just something so wonderful about being all curled up and cozy. Below are some of my favorites right now.
