Do Something Good
It’s Memorial Day Weekend. While for some people that just means a three day weekend, others a lot of discounted shopping, let’s all take a few minutes, or even a full day, to remember the point of Memorial Day. To remember those who have fought for and given their lives for the United States. You may not know someone personally who this effects, but the odds are that you’re only one degree away from someone who does.
So please take some time this weekend to really remember that and honor those men and women. If you aren’t sure what to do, all you have to google is “Memorial Day Weekend commemorative events” with your city’s name and it’ll give you a full list of things you can do in your community. While some of them may feel small, they can go a long way.
In the spirit of remembrance, I’m not including sales in this post. I will have a separate post for them that will go live later today. I know that sale posts and round ups are why many of you come here and there’s nothing wrong with that (you know I love a good sale), but in this case, I want to put the holiday first and the sale in another mindset.
On Something Good
- I’ve started standing up for myself lately and it’s felt so good.
- J.Crew Factory has gone all out in the dresses department and I’m ready to review them

Around the web
- This woman approves of wearing the same things over and over again.
- A week later and I still can’t stop laughing about this. (But also crying because of all of the ruined cookie dough)
- Veto. Veto. Veto.
- I really need to start taking more cues from beauty bloggers.
- So should I go up to NYC next weekend just for this? Is that a bit too ridiculous of me?
