Happy November!
It’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving, holiday things, and time for me to savor those last few weeks of it being socially acceptable to cook/bake things with pumpkin.
Holiday Things
Appreciating
How supportive the people in my life are. Life hasn’t been particularly treacherous or anything, but the people in my life have just been so wonderful and supportive about the most random things over the last few months. I’ve gotten the best advice and help about things I never could have expected. It’s made me so thankful about the community I’ve surrounded myself with.
Researching
Places to go and things to do for my Europe trip! Eeee, I can’t believe that my trip to Europe is coming up soon! Did I mention that I’m going over to Europe soon? I’m visiting Paris and England for sure, and potentially Amsterdam. But I have to do some more research on what exactly I want to do and some other smaller details. But we have our tickets there and back and a place to stay in Paris, so all of the big things are basically covered.
Posting
About holiday savings! Did you see my series last week? It was all about how to save for the holiday so you don’t go crazy and spend all of your money. It was crazy putting it all together, but I love that it’s up now and I hope you enjoyed it!
Getting
All of my outfits together for holiday posts. I’m trying to get as many posts as possible done ahead of time. It feels like a ridiculous endeavor, but I’m kind of excited for it. The first big hurdle was getting my editorial calendar done, but now that that’s mostly etched out, I have to plan outfits for shoots and write out the posts. My big thing this year is to focus on reusing old pieces from last year (since you all said you love when I do that) and showing how they can be remixed for new outfits this year. I think I did an okay job, but you guys can decide! (And yes, I have a lot of holiday things on my mind, if you haven’t noticed by me saying the word “holiday” 11 times.)
Cooking
Everything with apples and pumpkins! I went apple picking a few weeks ago and even though we’ve been eating and cooking with the apples, I STILL have apples left. So I’m finding even more baked goods to throw apples into. I’ve found a good whole wheat muffin recipe, a great scone, and who knows what will be next! I also love pumpkin things, so I’ve been baking pumpkin cookies like they’re going out of style.
As always, linking up with Anne In Residence
