Talk about sitting on a post for a while. Or rather having a box sitting in your apartment for a while. I pounced on the Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific collection the day it came out in October. I was so excited for it, you have no idea. All of the bright colors, the cute sweaters. What’s not to love? Even, better, Blair Edie used to actually work in the fashion world, so she really knows what she’s talking about.
So I finally pulled the box out and tried everything on. Ready?

Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Button Detail Turtleneck Sweater, X-Small, Black
This might be one of my favorite pieces. You can’t really see it because I left the paper on, but the gold button details on the sweater are super cute. The sweater was also true to size and very comfortable. There were only two things about this sweater that you should know. First, the sleeves are 3/4, not full length. Second, the sweater is warm, but thinner than I would have expected. I was expecting a thick sweater, but this was not that.
Verdict: Debating.
Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Button Detail Turtleneck Sweater, X-Small, Brown/Light Heather
And now the brown version! I pulled the paper off of one of the buttons so you could see the gold details on the sweater. The gold was a great compliment to brown-ish color. Everything I mentioned above is still true for this sweater, but this one is a….different brown-gray-ish color. I can’t decide if I like it or not. Blair has styled it really well with a brown skirt and brown boots. But I also don’t wear brown that often, so I don’t know.
Verdict: Still undecided.
Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Blouson Sleeve Sweater, X-Small, Navy-Brown Stripe
The blouson sweaters are THE MOST COMFORTABLE and the softest of all of her sweaters. Fight me on this, it’s the truth. So cozy. The only thing is that these sleeves are very voluminous. You can probably tell from the side view, I feel a little overwhelmed by them. I don’t think it’s because it’s the striped version, sadly, I think the solid colors I would feel the same. The brown and navy are just so cute though. Someone who is a little bit taller needs to get this asap!
Verdict: Returning, very sadly.
Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Fair Isle Sweater, X-Small, Blue-Navy Fair Isle
I was definitely just meh about this one. It was more of a fuzzy material than a knit. It also felt like it could stretch out really easily. I also didn’t love the light blue color as much in person.
Verdict: Return
Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Stripe V-Neck Sweater, X-Small, Black-Ivory Stripe
Okay, this one just made me so so sad. So, Halogen tends to run just the tiniest bit too big. I typically have to go to petite sizing to feel like everything fits well. For most of this collection, I’ve been okay, but this sweater was just too big. I figured it was supposed to be an over-sized fit, but it was too big. So I had to keep adjusting the top just to make it appropriate for this picture! I think that if this top would have just come in an XSP or an XXS, it would have fit perfectly and the V wouldn’t have been too low.
Verdict: so sad to return.
Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Stripe V-Neck Sweater, X-Small, Grey-Purple Stripe
Okay, you couldn’t see the over-sized-ness as much in the last picture, but you can see it more in this one. If you look at the sleeves, you’ll see I have them pushed up by my wrist. Thing because neckline (around my shoulders) is also about a half an inch above my shoulders. It’s frustrating because I loved these colors as well. Sigh. I either need to grow an inch or everyone should really just shrink an inch.

Halogen® x Atlantic-Pacific Elbow-Length Sleeve Sweater, XS, Red
This sweater is super cute and a wardrobe must for work. It’ll pair with so many things and instantly make you look more professional. The downside for me though? It felt kind of itch. My skin is probably just too sensitive. Ugh.
Verdict: Return
So there you go! The major of my Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific Reviews basically say this: super cute and I love it, but I need petite sizing! Please Blair, love your shorties too!
