Do Something Good
Every holiday season, we’re all bombarded with the latest toys and gadgets. Stores tell us that we NEED to get those things for people as gifts that year. It’s all well and good, but it can become a bit much. Also, it can get a bit repetitive (don’t you feel like you see the same things each year?).
That’s why about three years ago on this blog, I decided that each holiday season, I would shift my “Products with a Cause” series into “Gifts that Give Back.” Instead of doing tens and tens of gift guides, I instead do short blog posts where I focus on a single gift or company, where a purchase of that gift will give back to someone in need. If you’ve been reading the blog for a while, then you’ve seen these posts before. But if you haven’t, I wanted to introduce and explain them to you. I love finding these unique products and loving companies who have set out to help causes bigger than themselves. It’s inspiring to see and it’s even cooler to be able to give a gift and then explain to whoever you’re giving the gift to how they’re helping someone else.
You can find previous Gifts that Give back posts under the Holiday Gifting tab or Products with a Cause. Also, if you ever come across a gift that gives back on your own, please share it with me! I would love to feature it here!
