My Gift Guide for Book Lovers is probably one of my favorite gift guides to make. I basically can just put together a list of things I love and own! If you’re shopping for a reader, this is the perfect list for you. It has everything from clothing to home goods to book subscriptions. Let me know if you buy anything off of this list.
The Gift Guide for Book Lovers
How do I know that this is the perfect gift guide for book lovers? Well, I would want every single thing on this list. Also, only a few of them actually involve books, so you don’t have to worry about offending anyone’s tastes (which is the hardest thing with book lovers).
If they actually want to read
Book of the Month Subscription
I love new books, but let’s face it, there are too many new books coming out. It’s also too hard to figure out what to read next. That’s one of the reasons I love BOTM. Each month they share five new releases and you get to pick at least one as your book that month! They also have a boatload of other new releases and older books you can pick up as well. It’s a great way to be introduced to books you may have not read otherwise.
Call Number Quarterly Box
What could be better than a book subscription curated by a librarian? With this box, you’ll get a package every three months featuring a book from a black author, along with 2 to 4 books and/or library theme items, and a library packet! It’s a great way to be introduced to black authors from in fiction, nonfiction, YA, and indie.
Book Club Kit
If your friend has wanted to start a book club forever, but has needed the kick to start it, here’s their kick! This little kit gives conversation prompts, a timer to stop chatty kathys, AND recipes to favorite literary drinks. Book club is a go!
Kindle
This gift is a little pricier, but I think people can really overlook how great of a gift this can really be! Book lovers no longer have to throw out their backs carrying all of their books. If you need more convincing, check out my post about why I love my kindle.
LED Neck Reading Light
I got this light last year for needlepoint, but it’s perfect for reading too! It’s super comfortable and it’s perfect for when your partner wants to keep the lights off, but you want to keep reading. Plus, for $20, it’s a steal!
Libro.Fm Subscription
Does your friend love audiobooks, but want to support local bookshops? With a Libro.fm membership, they get one free audiobook a month and get access to thousands of audiobooks for 30% off list price. You can gift your friends 1, 3, 6 or 12 months of member.
Read the Room
Yes, I can read anywhere, but is there anything better than curling up with a big blanket and a warm mug? Nope. Here are some accessories your bookish friend needs to decorate their room and make it reading ready!
Personalized Book Mug
It’s a personalized book mug that says “one more chapter.” I have it and it’s the perfect size for a giant mug of tea. Also, when I found this, I stumbled upon a whole treasure trove of bookish mugs! Below are some of my favorites!
Personalized Library Card Pillow
I’m pretty sure this pillow is a must have for any reader family. I love how you can personalize it with your family names and birthdays. Also, if you know what this is, it’s time to start using eye cream.
Your Favorite Books Personalized Art Print
Whether you’re buying this print for yourself or someone else, it’s such a great addition to any room. I love that you can personalized it however you want, from mysteries to romance, to nonfiction.
Weighted Blanket
Oh my gosh, there are so many options for weighted blankets. This one from Amazon has a great price point and will keep anyone feeling comforted.
Bookshelf Tracker Bookmark
This bookmark is beautiful and what a creative way to track your books! For less than $4, I might buy this for myself and ALL of my bookish friends.
Cozy Blanket
If you’d rather just go the cozy blanket route, I’m obsessed with Chappywrap. I bought one last year and they’ve quickly taken over our apartment. In fact, I think we have one in every room. They’re so cozy and warm and I love cuddling up with them.
Book Stand Pillow
Holding up a hardback book is a lot of work. Give your friend’s arms a break and let this pillow do the work for them! It even has a little bump to hold open the pages of the book so no one loses their place! I gave this to my mom last year and she uses it all of the time.
Beautiful Book Maps
Oh my gosh, I found these on Everyday Reading and I’m in love. They’re beautiful paintings of maps from different books. But I don’t mean the map at the beginning of a book. These maps come from the mind of the painter and they’re beautiful. She has everything from Harry Potter to Little Women!
Bookstore Candle
Miss the smell of a bookstore? Every review of this candle says it’s the perfect replacement for the bookstore smell. And honestly, it’s pretty spot on.
100 Books Scratch Off Poster
This is the perfect poster for the person who can never decide what to read next. They just have to scratch off a book and the poster will tell them what they’re reading next!
Hidden Bookshelves
I had these shelves all over my apartment and everyone who sees them loves them. These are a great way to display books without feeling like you’re adding clutter. It also adds a little fun “wow” factor to anyone’s walls.
Wooden Bookend Ampersand
Your favorite reader probably has so many books that this ampersand is the perfect addition to your bookshelf! I think I may need to add it to my bookshelves.
My Reading Life: A Book Journal
Does your friend want to keep track of what they read, but prefer pen and paper? This is the perfect journal for them! It also includes some custom reading lists to help you figure out what to read.
Book Nook Reading Valet
Who doesn’t need a Book Noon Reading Valet next to their bed? It’ll hold everything you need when you’re cozied-up in bed reading.
Wear and Eat What You Read
Yes, wearing and eating is a category, just roll with it.
Tea Subscription
Book lovers and tea lovers tend to go hand in hand. With Sips By, they can try new teas every month based on the flavors they already like. I’ve tried this subscription before and I found new teas that I loved through it. (There are definitely other tea subscriptions, but Sips By is one that I’ve actually tried)
Book Cookie Cutter
It’s a cookie cutter shaped like a book! This is perfect for any book lover, baker friend. I got it last year and the cookies it made were adorable!
Books are Magic Pin
I’m not a pin person, but this pin makes me jealous of anyone who collects pins! It’s the perfect little addition to your backpack or jacket.
Bookish Sweatshirts
Every time I see a new bookish sweatshirt, I want it. After all, is there anything better than wearing a cozy sweatshirt while reading your favorite books? I’ve collected some of my favorite sweatshirts for you to buy below.
Perfect Games and Puzzles for Book Nerds
Book Puzzle
A puzzle that looks like a bookshelf when you’re done? It’s basically perfect. They could even frame it when they’re done. Or take it apart and do it again next time they take a break from reading.
Stet! Dreyer’s English: A Game for Language Lovers
I have never seen people so excited about correcting grammar as I did when I watched people play this game. This is perfect for the grammar nerd in everyone.
That’s the gift guide for book lovers! And my personal shopping list! Let me know if you’re buying anything for your friends!
