Gap and I have been in an on and off again relationship lately (I’m talking specifically the Gap, not Gap Inc as a whole). I’ll go through a phase where everything fits great, the clothes are amazing and I’m all about shopping there.
And then the season changes.
Suddenly nothing fits right. I’ll think I like something and then I get it in person and just be confused. The fabric will be a little cheaper and the sizes will run a little larger. Everything will just seem a little blah.
It’s weird.
It’s almost like Gap Inc can only have one or two of their brands be killing it at a time? When Old Navy is putting out winner after winner, Banana Republic can’t seem to catch a break. When Banana finally gets it right, Gap shrinks back into itself.
Has anyone else noticed that?
It can’t just be me, right? It might be because each brand is experimenting and it’s just coincidence that the experiments rise and fall at the same times, but it’s just so odd.
Looking through Gap’s fall collection though, I’m hoping that this might be their comeback season. I’ve found quite a few things that I already like so far. I’ve placed an order to try things on too, so fingers crossed that the sizing won’t disappoint as well.
I’ve shared a few of my favorites in the widget so you can check them out as well. But tell me, what do you think about this whole Gap Inc thing? Have you given up on one of the brands? Do you still shop at all three?
Let me know! And let me know if you’ve picked up anything so far or if you’ve seen any major changes in sizing. I’d love to hear what you guys think.
