Do Something Good
Oh hey, long time no talk, right? As you may or may not have noticed, I’ve been a little absent from here for the last week or so. If you haven’t noticed, that’s okay, we’ve all been dealing with our own craziness these last few weeks. I did want to talk about why I’ve been MIA the last week though and I promise it’ll make sense by the time I’m done.
First, work has been crazy overwhelming. I’m in the arts/non-profit world, and like some industries, we’ve taken a MAJOR hit. While my organization (an association) has not closed, a lot of our members have (hopefully just temporarily), and we’ve been working non-stop to try to provide support for them and help provide different resources. This also means trying to figure out what impact it’ll have on some of our larger upcoming events, like our conference, which is a large part of my job. That’s been taking up a huge part of my brain for the last two weeks.
Second, I was in a bit of a freeze when it came to blog content. I wasn’t sure what I actually should put up on here? Do I go ahead with my planned posts and continue with business as usual? I kept pulling up my editorial calendar and then just staring at it with no idea what to do. The plan wasn’t to this whole week off, but now it’s Friday and here we are.
Where am I going from here? Business as usual
Finally last night, I made the decision that on the blog I wanted to stay business as usual. When everything is going crazy in the world, it’s nice to have some consistency somewhere right? So I’m going to have it here. I still have outfit pictures ready to go, I have a handful of shopping reviews to do, and I’m reading up a storm, so you know those book posts are coming. Plus, this is really the best time to test beauty products, so those posts will be coming soon too. So it’ll be business as usual around here. I hope you’re okay with that.
