Happy Fourth of July! I hope you’re all enjoying your mid-week day off! I love that Anne has given us all an excuse to post today and give you all a monthly update.
Here’s what’s currently going on!
celebrating
Having a day off in the middle of the week! Okay and I’m celebrating the Fourth of July. But when the Fourth of July is on a Wednesday and you have to go back to work on Thursday, you can only do so much. So I’m just enjoying having a day off to break up the week.
visiting
Starbucks and different coffee shops a lot lately. In an effort to get more blog work done lately and mix it up, I’ve been trying to get out of my apartment and work out of different coffee shops. While there have been a lot of Starbucks lately (there’s one down the block, so it’s easy to pop in there), it’s also given me a chance to finally start back up visiting Tea Shops around DC. The tea might be a little more iced right now, but hey, that’s okay!
baking
There are so many things I want to bake, yet I haven’t actually taken the time to make anything. I just need an occasion to make something! Okay, that’s a flat out lie, I just haven’t had time right now. Having an event will make me feel like I have an excuse though. (Dessert image c/o Hungry Girl Por Vida)
wearing
My goal this summer has been to wear my way through all of my summer pieces and figure out what I want to keep and what needs to go. It’s been a fun way to go through old favorites and incorporate them with new pieces. As I’ve been doing that, I find myself reaching more and more for outfits where I can incorporate something old with something new. It’s ended up being a lot of J.Crew, J.Crew Factory, and Everlane. My favorite pieces this summer? Everlane Day Gloves, J.Crew Factory Striped Skirt, and this Topshop Button Tank. I also just bought this J.Crew jumpsuit that I’m super excited to wear.
loving
All of my time to read! I went into a little more detail about it in my recent July Reading List, but I’ve recently loved The Glittering Court series, The Kiss Quotient, Leah On the Off Beat, and Circe.
As always, linking up with Anne In Residence
