Ohhhh Valentine’s Day. How I have such a love hate relationship with you….love all of the pink dresses and desserts available…hate the association with being in a relationship, single awareness, etc. Luckily to combat this, one of my close friend’s birthday just happens to fall on February 14th, so I’ve turned it into a day to celebrate her! Unfortunately we’ll be in different cities this year, so I have every intention of cuddling into my bed with the next season of House of Cards and some delicious dessert (it’s been an exhausting week already). I’ll probably also use this as an opportunity to send some jokey e-cards to some of my friends and family.
Hmm, I know people with Christmas birthdays and 4th of July birthdays (she was convinced that the fireworks were just for her!) But I don't think I know any Valentine's day birthdays! Does your friend like it? (I imagine in school it be a plus or minus…)
Luckily, after 25 years of it, I think she really likes it now. Plus, she gets lots of extra valentine's day presents!
