Pride and Premeditation by Tirzah Price

Note: I received this book as an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Do I ever not like a Pride and Prejudice adaptation? This time, Lizzie Bennet wants to be lawyer in her father’s firm, but to do so, she must find a case to take on. The Lizzie in this adaptation is headstrong and smart. She felt like a mix of Jo March and Lizzie Bennet in the best possible way. Price managed to create an adapation that could have still lived in the Austen universe and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Influence by Sara Shepard

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book. Was it going to make influencers look like idiots? Would I hate it? But really, why didn’t I trust Sara Shepard? This was such a great mystery that I couldn’t put down.

The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Marie Benedict

After watching hours of Poirot, I couldn’t help but be intrigued but this book. Did you know that Agatha Christie disappeared for 11 days in 1926 and to this day, no one knows what happened? This book is one author’s interpretation of what happened during those days. It was a good read and I think any fans will enjoy it.

It’s in His Kiss by Julia Quinn

Okay, I think I found one of my new favorite Bridgerton novels. Book #7 is all about Hyacinth and I loved it. Now only is it about how she finds her match, but there’s also a little bit of a mystery to solve in it as well. Plus, this is a GREAT book to read for an Lady Danbury fan.

The Marriage Game by Sara Desai

Why did nobody tell me to read this book? Oh my gosh, it was so good! I couldn’t stop reading it and I stayed up until like 1 a.m. reading it one evening. I highly recommend it!

By the Book by Amanda Sellet

This was hands down a book for book people. Especially if you were one of those girls who had a hard time making friends in high school. Mary is obsessed with 19th century books, so when she makes friends at her new school, they decide to use her knowledge to build their guide to avoid dating scoundrels. This book was super cute and I can see myself rereading it.

Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline

The surprise sequel to Ready Player One! (Honestly, I felt like this one came out of nowhere). This was a great sequel, so I would suggest reading it. However, it’s not necessary. If you wanted to leave the story with the first book, it would be fine.

Troubles in Paradise by Elin Hilderbrand

The finale to the paradise series. This series was SO good and this book did a great job of wrapping up the series. Do not read this book first though. You have to read them in order or you’ll just be all levels of confused.

To Love and to Loathe by Martha Waters

When I read Martha Water’s first novel, To Have and To Hoax, I enjoyed it, but I was so intrigued by the cliff hanger, I couldn’t wait for the sequel. To Love and To Loathe not only lived up to those expectations, but surpassed them. To Love and to Love focuses on Diana and Jeremy, the who single friends who can’t stop bickering. Jeremy, the ultimate bachelor however, gets in a bit of a pickle when Diana bets him that he’ll be married by the end of the year or he’ll have to give her 100 pounds (which is a lot then).

These characters (even the side characters) are so much fun and their banter is excellent to read. You spend the entire book wishing that you could spend the weekend with these characters.
