While my to-read list seems to be never ending, I always end up having a few books that make their way to the top of the pile and become the books I’m most excited to read. This fall, I have three that I can’t wait to read.
Have you read anything by Rainbow Rowell before? If not, go pick up Fangirl or Eleanor and Park right now and fix that. I’ve adored all of her books that I’ve read so far, so I’ve been excited to start Landline. I know that it actually came out this past summer, but I’ve been waiting for my library to get a copy for me to order. I’ve finally been able to place my hold though, so now it’s just waiting for the book to arrive.
I had this series mentioned to me by a co-worker, but I didn’t start reading these books until the end of July. I devoured the first two books and then realized that I was only a few weeks away from the release of the final book. For those of you who have never read the series before, it’s best described as Harry Potter, but for a more *ahem* adult audience. It’s an engrossing book though and I highly recommend checking out the first book in the series for anyone who hasn’t before.
I’m not one to buy books that often, but when I heard that Amy Poheler was finally putting out a book, I think it was the fastest I’ve ever gone to Amazon to pre-order a book. It doesn’t come out until October 28th, but you can bet I’m going to start reading it the day it arrives.
Can a cookbook be on my to-read list? From what I’ve read so far in the introduction, I’m going to go with YES. Written by the girl behind the blog, How Sweet It Is, Seriously Delish already looks like it’s going to have all the recipes I love and never knew I needed. Plus, Jess’s writing style on her blog is so excellent, I can already tell it’ll translate perfectly to her book.
