The other day I was asked to share what my three favorite things about myself were. Not the typical “what are your strengths?” question that I’m use to, so I really had to take a second to sit and think about it. I really loved the question though, so I thought I would share my answers with you (plus two more)!
1. I consider myself extremely loyal to my friends and family. I love helping when I can and making baked goods for people to cheer them up.
2. I don’t get injuries that often, but when I do, they’re kind of weird. For example, in high school I fell off of the uneven bars during a gymnastics practice and broke my middle toe. Just that one toe.
3. When I was in undergrad (and grad school), people (friends included) had a really hard time guessing where I was from, what my age was, and what my major was. They were all things I was proud of, but it was just really funny that people could never seem to remember or guess correctly.
4. Even though it can be quite the pain sometimes, I do really like my hair. It’s naturally curly (surprise!) but it can also easily fool people into thinking it’s naturally straight.
5. As I’ve gotten older (aka gotten farther away from the college years), I’ve really started to embrace who I am and loudly proclaiming the things I like. From staying in on a Friday night to doing DIY projects for fun, I love it and I’ll happily share it with all!
What are your three favorite things about yourself?
