Right now I’m sitting in a hotel, listening to Taylor Swift’s Red (TV) and I realized that I’m in full fall vibes right now (I am this video). The irony doesn’t escape me that the hotel I’m at right now is in Austin, where’s it’s currently 80 degrees.
Either way, my fall mode has been activated, and I don’t care how basic it is. You know you love fall too. And since I know that you love fall too, what better way to celebrate than a full fall favorites post!
Fall Favorites
Wear: Fall Styles
I’ve been complaining for months about how I just don’t enjoy fashion right now. I hate puffed sleeves and looking like I’m in Little House on the Prairie. I don’t need to experience wide jeans that drag and collect water. Also, I was already a frequent flier at Delia*s once, I don’t need to live in their fashion again. (Truly no hate to the people who love these styles, they just aren’t for me.)
But fall is finally here to save us. If I could live in one season’s style forever, it would be fall. From chunky sweaters to loafers, I’m all in on fall styles. One of my favorite places to stock up on fall styles is J.Crew and J.Crew Factory, but I’ve also picked up some pieces from recently from Madewell and Everlane that I love.

Read
The second September 1st hits, I just want mysteries and witchy-centric books. Below are some of my favorite books and series that are perfect for fall. Comment below if you have a question about any of them or would like a personalized recommendation!
Watch: TV
So this section was going to be TV AND movies, but by the time I finished listing tv shows, there were already so many that you don’t really movies as well. The name of the game here is cozy, mysteries, and a little bit of magic.
- Gilmore Girls (I think this show loves fall more than everyone) (Netflix)
- Agatha Raisin (A cosy British mystery series in the Cotswalds!) (Amazon)
- Only Murders in the building (a series that’s more funny than creepy is always something I appreciate) (Hulu)
- Ghosts (Watch either the BBC or CBS, both are excellent! Also, I think the title explains itself) (HBO Max for BBC and Paramount+ for CBS)
- Any Hallmark Mystery Series (Mystery 101 is my favorite series, but I also love the Aurora Teagarden and Garage Sale Mysteries too!) (Amazon and Hallmark)
- The Good Witch (another Hallmark series, but it’s not a mystery, just about a witch) (Netflix)
- The Great British Baking Show (baking and fall go hand in hand in my opinion) (Netflix)
- The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell (its so weird, but so enjoyable)(Netflix)
- The Irregulars (a spin off of Sherlock that Netflix cancelled too soon) (Netflix)
- Frankie Drake (a female detective in Toronto in the 1920s. I think I need to rewatch this one)(PBS-Amazon)
- Agatha Christie’s Poirot (from the queen of mysteries herself! Also, make sure it’s the David Suchet version) (BritBox/Acorns – Amazon)
Eat
Yes, I’m going there. I absolutely love pumpkin flavors (and apple!) so stocking up here is a must. As I said to my husband the other day: if they sold all of these year round, I wouldn’t have to stock up now!
Two notes: first, I don’t drink coffee, so I didn’t include any coffee products. Second, apple juice is nothing compared to apple cider. Don’t fall for this trap. Oh! Also, having a pumpkin on the packaging or orange packaging doesn’t mean it’s necessarily pumpkin flavored. Beware of this Halloween trap. And finally, Yes, I’m aware that everything on this list is from Target and there are other stores with great pumpkin things. But when I can link to Trader Joes, I’ll make sure to include it too. (I also am aware that that was more than two things.
Are we all Fall’ed out now? Nope? Me neither.
