I have to admit something to you first. You already know the results of some of these clothes. Why? Well, some of them have already appear in my April Budget. But, I never reviewed them for you! I also had some brand new pieces that I wanted to share with you as well. So I figured why not throw them all together in one post? Also, I got two new bodysuits (including an Everlane bodysuit) that I had to share because I have an obsession.
J.Crew Factory Striped cotton-linen midi skirt, XXS
It’s a skirt with pockets and blue and white stripes. It basically checked all of the boxes before I even took a closer look! I was worried about ordering this skirt at first because it was final sale and everyone said it ran small. I read a lot of the reviews closely though and followed a handful of the sizes of the girls/sizes ordered. A lot of the girls said to order exactly a size down so I followed their lead. I’m so glad I did because it fit perfectly! I also love how it’s a great length to wear to work, but it’s still incredibly comfortable.
Verdict: Keep
Everlane The Bodysuit, XS
Oh, you had to know this was coming as soon as you heard that there was an Everlane bodysuit. Or maybe you haven’t heard about Everlane’s bodysuit? Well, let’s talk about it. First, it’s double lined, so it’s not see through at all. The back is low cut (as you can see here). But, since they used the same material as their bra, I felt comfortable wearing it sans bra. The only warning I want to give is that if you’re petite or have a short torso, aim for a smaller size. I got a small since I normally buy bodysuits based on my underwear size. However, the torso for the size small was way too long. The straps didn’t even want to entertain the idea of staying up. The one I’m wearing here is a XS, which fit much better. I actually didn’t have any problems with the fit around the lower half, which was surprising, but good.
Verdict: Keep
Everlane The Italian GoWeave Easy Pant, 0
I finally got my hands on these Everlane joggers! I have been on the waitlist for these green joggers for what’s felt like years. It’s really only been a few weeks though. I knew that the fit was good since I had tried them on in the store. They’re comfy, fitted, and easy to move in. However, I will have to get them hemmed. I folded up one of the ankles so you can see how I plan to wear it versus how long it actually is.
Verdict: Keep
J.Crew Wrap cami bodysuit in stripe, XS
Of J.Crew’s cami bodysuits, this may be my favorite. Probably because it’s striped (I just can’t resist a good stripe!) The fit is about the same as the other two, I just need to tighten the straps on this one.
Verdict: Keep
J.Crew Eyelet-hem T-shirt, XS
I’ll admit it, I was hoping this shirt would be a winner. It looked so cute online and I felt like it had so much potential. When I put it on though, it just fell flat. It was okay. If there had been a petite version of it, the fit would have been much better on me. As it was, the peplum was too low on me. Looking at it, I just felt like I couldn’t justify $39 for it.
Verdict: Return
BP. Peplum Tee XXS
When the price of this top dropped to $14 I was so excited. Finally a win! More like a fail. I posted this on Instagram stories, but it honestly looked like I was wearing an old stretched out boy’s undershirt. No thank you.
Verdict: So returning
Gibson Twist Front Cozy Fleece Pullover, XSP
Is it weird that I want to cuddle with this top? It’s so darn soft! The fit is also perfect. Is there much more that I can say about it? I will say that it’s not super heavy, so don’t expect a sweater. Think a light fleece.
Verdict: Keep
J.Crew Factory Slingback flats with gingham bow, Size 6
Let’s talk about these flats. They’re super cute. Like, really really cute. Plus, it has a gingham bow. My weaknesses. I’m also not the biggest fan of a slingback. I have the type of heels that will take any excuse they can to get torn up. Oversharing maybe, but the slingback on these is so thin, I just feel like the back of my foot will hate it. However, if you have a more tolerant foot than mine, I would stay to definitely get them. It’s also a slightly narrow fit, so if you feel that you have a wider foot, this isn’t the shoe for you.
Verdict: not for me, but maybe for you.
That’s all for me today! Let me know what you’re shopping for right now.
