There ends an…interesting year of shopping. It was a year of a lot of ups and downs. And some overspending. More than I’d like to be honest.
I don’t have a really big write up about my year of shopping. In my November and October budgets I did quite a bit of reflecting, and now that it’s December? I’m just tired. Most of my purchases were from Black Friday/Cyber Monday, then filling a few holes in my closet. I still have a few purchases that haven’t arrived yet, but those will go on to January’s budget.
As for January, I’m going to try to start that month fresh (minus the incoming clothes) and limit the shopping. Or at least sell off some clothes to even things out a bit. I go through periods where I just get tired of shopping and I’m hitting one of those periods now. So it’ll be nice to just take a break and play in my own wardrobe.
With that, the 2017 budgets are over!

I’m doing a shopping freeze for the first part of the year – unless I’m replacing something, I’m not going to buy anything. I feel like I spent a lot of time shopping due to boredom, and now I need to clean out my closet and work with what I bought.
I also bought the black watch flannel from Old Navy, and the colors are perfect! I just have to exchange it, because I didn’t realize how boxy it would be on me.
The freeze sounds like a good idea, I hope it goes well!
