To say I’m already looking forward to skipping May and moving ahead to June would be putting it lightly. May is normally my busy month because of my company’s conference, but this year, my May is in overdrive.
Currently, Vol 62
consuming
All of the candy around me. It’s not great. I mentioned last month that I was going to try out Smart Sweets and I have! I really like the red twists the most (the gummy bears were okay). But, I can’t get over my addiction to almond M&Ms. I don’t know why, but they’re just so good!
exploring
My neighborhood and D.C. again! Now that the weather is back to being nice, I want to get back to walking around more. I went on a walk last weekend and stumbled across a Farmer’s Market! I forgot how nice it was to just walk around and find such random things. But I’m going back to doing more walks and I can’t wait.
FYI if I’m running errands and trying to go for longer walks, I love to wear an older pair of Nikes I have. They don’t really make the style anymore, but from what I can tell, the Flex sneaker looks like the equivalent. For shorter walks, or if I’m not wearing workout clothes, I’ll either wear these sneakers or one of my 25 pairs of Keds, lol.
getting
Together all of the books I want to read this month! You’ll see in the next one that I have a lot of traveling to do, which means lots of extra reading time. Some of the books on my list include:
- Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne
- The Mismatch by Sara Jafari
- The Dating Dare by Jayci Lee
- So We Meet Again by, Suzanne Park
- Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
hoping
To get through May. This month is going to be rough. My company is running a 15 day virtual conference and two family members are getting major surgery. Luckily all of us are vaccinated, but it’s going to involve a lot of traveling to Wisconsin and working remotely. Essentially, just pray for me.
seeing
If it’s time to attempt a capsule wardrobe or suitcase for May. Like I just mentioned, I’m going to be traveling, working remotely, and caregiving for a lot of May. So I’m going to be living out of suitcase and need a wardrobe that works for everything. Below are some of the pieces I’m definitely going to going to include. (Also, thank god everything is on Zoom, so I don’t have to worry about appropriate shoe wear.)
Here are some of the pieces I’m thinking about for my capsule suitcase.
As always, linking up with Anne In Residence
