Is it March? Is it still February? Honestly, you could tell me it was still January and I would believe you. But if Anne tells me it’s time for a new Currently, then you best believe I’m going to make a new currently post! Let’s get on to Currently, Vol. 60.
Currently Vol 60
choosing
A new book to read. Isn’t that always the case? I think February might have been my worst month in reading in a long time. By that I mean the least amount of books I’ve read in a month. I just couldn’t get into books and I couldn’t pick what I wanted to read next. And now we’re three days into March and I feel like I’m stuck in the same place. Below are all of the books I’m either part way into or are next on my list…I just have no idea what I want to read or will be able to get into!
imagining
What I want to do for my wedding! Surprise! I’m engaged! Haha, I buried the lead a little there, didn’t I? My boyfriend (well, now fiancé) got engaged over the weekend and I’m so excited. And now we get to figure out what we want to do for a wedding. It’s all kind of crazy and overwhelming. I’ve never been a super weddings person, but I think I have a few ideas in mind of what I want. Also, no, this will not become a weddings blog. I have a hard enough time getting my regular posts up now as it is. I’m not going to try to add wedding content into the mix.
making
My own needlepoint canvases. I actually did this for the first time a few months ago for my cousin’s first child. I really enjoyed it, so I decided I wanted to try trying to make more. These aren’t canvases I’m planning on selling those, these are canvases I want for just myself when I can’t find the exact design I want.
I’ve also been playing around with printing designs on canvases with my cricut. My first attempt was a complete failure…but that hasn’t stopped me. I need to tweak a few things before I make my second attempt, but I can’t wait to try again!

My new shoes from Keds. I have a mild obsession with the Keds x Rifle Paper collection. Actually, let’s be honest, I have an obsession with anything Rifle Paper. But the Keds x Rifle Paper Collection is amazing and I’ve been staring at these boots for what feels like months. Maybe longer. They were originally $90, which just felt like too much money. So I waited…and waited….and waited. Then, with a few added up discounts, I was finally able to get them for $42!
They’re so cute and water resistant. I took them for a spin yesterday and they’re perfect for dog walks and especially the dog park. These were definitely worth the wait.
Here are some of the other pairs of Keds x Rifle Paper collection that I’m loving.
wearing
Skinny jeans forever. Honestly, this is the silliest debate I’ve heard about between Millennials and Gen Z.
What I actually have been reaching for lately have been crew neck sweatshirts. I remember this happening a lot the last two or three years in the spring, so this isn’t that surprising. They’re so comfortable and they just make me feel happy. Who knows why, but at this point, I’m all for anything that makes me happy. I have a pretty decent collection of crewneck sweatshirts at this point, so I don’t know if I’ll be buying more, but the collection I’ve rounded up below is pretty tempting.
As always, linking up with Anne in Residence.
