We’ve finally made it to 2021….and everything looks just about the same. Were you one of the people who thought you would wake up on January 1, 2021 and everything would be completely different? Yeah, I wasn’t. Maybe it sounds pessimistic, but I figured that at least the first half of this year would just be more of the same. Really, I think I’m setting myself up for more success that way.
Currently, Vol.58
beginning
To really dive into using my Cricut! (Have I said I’m going to do that for months? It feels like it.) I felt like I had zero time in the fall to actually learn how to use it, which sucked. But work was slow last week and I had some time off. So I got to use that time to learn how to use my Cricut and it was actually so much fun! I love learning about all of the things this machine can do. I’ve made some needlepoint designs I want to try printing and I’ve ordered the blank canvases, so I can’t wait to try that out.
feeling
A little stuck with blogging. I hate saying that, but it’s true. I thought I would jump back into this week refreshed, but I actually feel a little unmotivated still about posting. Luckily, I still have things I want to post and get up, but I feel like I’m a little bit in a slump about new things to write. If you have any ideas or suggestions of things you would like to see me write about, I would love to hear them! Are there companies or clothing items you would like me to review? Let me know!
organizing
My kitchen. How does it always turn into such a dumping space. It’s not dirty messy, it’s just cluttered messy. I ordered more of my favorite organizing bins to help make things easier to stack, but now I need to clean up my “tea zone” again. The organization method I had was working really well….until I got more tea. So I need to figure that one out again. Luckily, I love a new challenge.
resolving
to maybe start working out again. I kind of stopped working out for the entire month of December. I felt incredibly tired and had a handful of migraines that month, so I decided I just wasn’t going to force myself to work out. For me, it was actually a good decision. I’m now feeling up to it again, so I’m getting back into it now with some yoga.
I would like to note, I’m not a resolutions person, so this isn’t really a resolution of any sort. I feel like I’ve explained this in posts before but I’ve always felt that you don’t need to wait until January 1st to start something. If you want to do something, just start doing it. For me, I felt like I was running ragged all of December and I just needed to get more sleep (and eat healthier, which I did). Now that I’m back at work again (well, still remotely), I’m going to start working out again.
wondering
how long I’ll actually do yoga? Just kidding! I actually have a lot of random stuff on my mind lately. Mostly inconsequential stuff though from what am I going to cook for dinner to I need to go through that pile of mail to “can I just throw everything out and start over?” The one bright side of having too much on my mind though is that it’s led to a lot of baking or organizing while listening to a podcast or audiobook. It’s the only way I can tune out while also getting things done. Is it helping my mind? Eh. But is it getting my apartment cleaner? Yes!
As always, linking up with Anne in Residence.
