A new month, a new Currently post! Here’s what’s going on behind the scenes of Something Good (and my life).
gathering
All of the books I want to read and TV shows I want to watch. I feel like a squirrel right now, gathering up all of her acorns for winter hibernation. My list of books I want to read and tv shows I want to watch just keeps getting longer and I really don’t mind. I’m ready to settle in for some cold days and consume all the wonderful things. In case you’re curious, my tv includes: The Crown, Veep, West Wing, Outlander Season 2, and Z. Some of the books include The Underground Railroad, You’ll Grow Out of It, You Can’t Touch My Hair, and Good Girls Revolt.
making
Over my apartment! Over Thanksgiving, my dad repainted my apartment’s bedroom for me (thank you!) and I’ve spent the past few weeks slowly redecorating. I’m hoping to share more of it soon, but I’ve been so excited seeing it slowly come together (I just got this rug and I love it). It’s also inspired me to do some touch ups in other areas of my apartment.

Hot chocolate (and tea, as always). Last month, a friend had me try hot chocolate with almond milk instead of water or regular milk and it was kind of life changing. It made the hot chocolate feel so much thicker and it completely reignited my love for the drink. I personally have loved having it with bowl of popcorn and M&Ms.

The advice of those around me (to an extent). I’ve been listening to some really great new podcasts from Think Creative Collective and Jenna Kutcher and man, those girls are brilliant. I’ve gotten such good advice from them when it comes to running my own business and I want to start implementing! (Image via)

To get better at managing my time. I feel like I fell off of the bandwagon with being good at managing my time over the past few months (aka around the holidays), specifically when it comes to my blog. I always prided myself on my time management, so I’m hoping it’s a habit that I can easily fall back into. January is going to be a pretty busy month for me, so hopefully I can remember these skills fast!
