Happy new decade! I kind of love the fact that my first post of the decade is about what’s currently going on in my life. So thank you Anne for creating this fun series for everyone!
Now read on and happy 2020!

Currently, Vol. 46: Cleaning and Reorganizing
resolving
I’m not really a resolutions person. Partially because don’t most of those get abandoned by the middle of January? Also, because I feel like I don’t need to wait until the beginning of the year to start improving on something. I’d rather start as soon as possible!
In the past I’ve done words of the year, and I might do that again. But for now, I think the only thing I want to “resolve” to do is to make sure that I don’t turn my new hobby (needlepoint-ing), into some sort of hustle. I feel like so many people (myself included) accidentally end up turning fun hobbies into hustles that we lose sight of what made them fun in the first place. Right now I’m loving trying out needlepoint and getting to make presents for people and I don’t want to lose sight of that.
reading
I felt like I had hit a reading slump during the last week of December. Everything I picked up was just blah. I think I put down more books than I finished. But I’ve finally found some good ones! I just finished Reputation by Sara Shepard which I loved. Now I’m reading Enchantee by Gita Trelease and The Dead Queens Club by Hannah Capin and I’m loving both of them!
cleaning
You’ll see a little more below, but over the last week, I’ve been crazy cleaning out my kitchen and reorganizing it. A big part of reorganizing through it clorox-ing down all of the shelves and making sure they’re thoroughly cleaned out again before I put things back in.
Another thing I’m cleaning out? My poshmark closet! I’m going full out trying to empty this thing ASAP, so if there’s anything you want, make me an offer!
creating
More needlepoint projects! I’ve been needlepointing for the last month and absolutely loving it. Now I just need to make sure I don’t spend all of my money on canvases. Though, it would give my closet a bit of a break if I direct my money that way, haha.
planning
The next phase of cleaning and reorganizing my apartment. The bedroom is almost there, the bathroom is done, and the kitchen just needs the final touches. What’s left? The front closet and living room. Ugh. The biggest and tiniest spaces. It’ll happen though!
I also want to work on getting blog post pictures done of the spaces once they’re organized. I love seeing how other people organize their spaces, so I’m hoping other people will enjoy those posts too!
As always, linking up with Anne In Residence.
