Guys. GUYS. I’m so excited today. After literal years of Anne and I joking about having the same closets, we finally decided to put that joke to good use for you.
Today we’re kicking off our monthly Blogger Style: One Item, Two Ways series!
Here’s how it will go.
Each month, Anne and I will pick an item that we both already own (that won’t be too hard) and we’ll style it our own ways! You then get to see not only how I decided to style the piece, but then you can hop over to Anne’s blog to see how she styled it as well! Basically, once a month, I’m giving you double the inspiration. If you haven’t visited Anne’s blog yet, you’ll love her!
For our first Blogger Style: One Item, Two Ways, we went with the J.Crew Factory Striped Skirt!

I LOVE this skirt (like most things I find at J.Crew Factory). I reviewed it here, but the pockets are really what make the skirt excellent. Plus, it’s a shade of blue that pairs with basically everything.
This post also seemed like the perfect time to debut my new mules from Target. First, can you believe they’re from Target?? Second, can we talk about how I’ve all of a sudden turned into a yellow person? It’s weird. I’m now all about deep mustards and golden yellows. I know that if you aren’t comfortable with wearing a color, it can be hard to start all of a sudden. That’s why incorporating that color in as a shoe is a great way to start wearing that color. But it’s still just a tiny step (ha ha), as opposed to wearing a bright yellow shirt.
Alright, that’s all I have for now. Now it’s time for you to jump over to Anne’s post and see how she styled her skirt!
