I can’t decide if it’s funny, sad, or just plain entertaining that Anne and I decided to style black leggings two ways long before we were all required to stay inside. But either way, black leggings went from being something that I only really wear to work-outs to daily attire.

Blogger Style Two Ways: Black Leggings
Favorite Leggings
After working in the fitness industry for three years, I’ve gotten pretty picky about what I do and don’t like about activewear. So when it comes to leggings, I have three favorite styles and brands.
Old Navy High-Waisted Compression Leggings
One thing that I love about leggings is when I feel like everything is sucked in well and makes my legs look good. These do just that. They’re designed for runners and more high impact sports, which is what helps to hold you in.
Zella Live In High Waist Pocket Leggings
Okay, these have the perks of the Old Navy leggings. The material is a little thicker though AND it has pockets. However, the price point is a little higher so I tend to wait for a sale to buy leggings.
Everlane Perform Legging
These are the newest addition to my collection, but I love them! They’re ridiculously comfortable and the material is super soft. I”m also impressed that they AREN’T SEE THROUGH. A major bonus for any pair of leggings. (PS They’re 25% off right now!!)
Styling my black leggings
My formula for styling my black leggings has been super simple. Just leggings, a tee, and then either a cardigan or sweatshirt. If I HAVE to go outside (either to the grocery store, prescription, or for a quick walk), then I’ll throw on either a pair of sneakers or flats.
Yes, my formula is super simple, but honestly, who wants to bother to get more crazy than that right now? It does make me happy though that I’ve built up a solid tee and crewneck sweatshirt collection to choose from. (Check out that post for more sweatshirts to shop.)
I’m curious to see if this is finally the piece that has caused Anne and I to finally twin! So go check out Anne’s post and see how she styled her leggings.
