If you hadn’t noticed, the theme for this weekend is holiday traveling. Today it’s all about distracting yourself on the plane. I don’t know about you, but I love the excuse to have unlimited reading time while I’m on the plane. I normally go with the book I’m currently reading, but I have a few rules for my books for travel:
1. Engaging.
I’m talking the missed your metro stop because you could’t put the book down good. Luckily for you, it’s pretty obvious when it’s time to get off of the plane.
2. Long…enough.
Is there anything worse than finishing your book before your ride is even close to over? Personally, I don’t think so. You should note though, it’s okay if you don’t finish your book in one ride, you need something for the way back!
3. Nothing about planes.
Anything that involves planes crashing, dieases on planes, bad things on planes, they’re just a no go. No reason to start freaking out. Books to avoid when you’re on a plane: In the Unlikely Event, Station Eleven, Catch Me if You Can (note, these are all books I love, but due to events in the book, they may not be best for your plane ride).
Here are some of my top picks for plane reads!
