I barely paid attention to August, if I’m being honest. To my shopping, to my reading, weekends. It all just kind of flew by.

Some Thoughts
So just like everything kind of flew by this month (see introduction sentences if you’ve already forgotten), I kind of forgot about my budget this month. Not that I went spending crazy, I just forgot to track things. Which meant that I spent Monday going through my receipts putting my kept items and their prices into my spreadsheet. It was kind of odd to go through all of those and see how many things from that list got returned.
I know that I do a lot of returning, but going through those orders was a hard reminder of that. I (like most women) online shop primarily for a few different reasons: not having easy access to stores, not having time to get to them, and my size not being in stores. It’s also just nice to be able to style something with my own things immediately. But because of that, I also end up returning a lot of clothes because they don’t work out. I know it’s one of the downsides of shopping online.
But I’m not saying that online shopping is a bad thing
(Honestly, I’m starting to ramble and lose my point.) I’ve just been getting frustrated with it recently, especially with all of the returns. Why? Well, over the last two months there would be so many times when I would place an order and then it would come in 4 different packages. This happened all the times with different retailers too! It was ridiculous. All of the paper and boxes got so annoying, especially given the fact that I end up returning it half of the time too! Now, obviously the retailers don’t want me to return things, but do they need to send things in so many packages? I’m assuming it’s because they all come from different stores with the items in stock (or warehouses), but there just has to be some better way.
I know the simple solution is for me to just cut down my shopping and then I won’t receive so many boxes. And trust me, I’m working on it. But that still won’t stop my annoyance of receiving multiple boxes for one order.
Rant over. And apologies, because that came out of nowhere.
