It’s time for round two of the anniversary sale reviews! There were a few more pricier pieces in this round, but also a few more winners.
Lauren Ralph Lauren Wool Blend Reefer Coat Camel, 2P Petite
If you missed round one, check it out now. A handful of items that were sold out when that post first came out are back in stock! So make sure to re-read that post and check on any of your favorite items (including that scalloped sweater) to see if they’re back. If anything is sold out in that post or this one, just remember to keep an eye on it, because there’s a chance that it will come back in stock. Just be patient, you never know what may happen.
Also, you’ll notice tomorrow that a number of items from the Nordstrom sale don’t appear in my budget post yet. That’s because I’m still deciding on a number of them. Thanks to Nordstrom’s generous return policy I have plenty of time to do so. They’ll most likely end up in my August or September budgets, once I reach a firm decision.

Lauren Ralph Lauren Wool Blend Reefer Coat Came, 2P Petite
$139.90
If I’m being honest, I was really hoping that this coat wouldn’t fit well so I could just say whatever and return it. The problem? It fit perfectly. The sleeve length was just right, the shoulders were perfect, and I love where the jacket hits on my knee. This never happens. The material is also the perfect weight for winter and it’ll be great for layering. Why am I hesitating? I wasn’t planning on spending this much money. In the grand scheme of things, this coat is not that expensive (I can also see me wearing it until the end of time), but it’s a lot up front). It’s an amazing coat though, so if you’re looking for something similar, go check this one out right now.
Verdict: Probably yes, but I’m not ready to commit.
Blondo Volly Waterproof Riding Boot, Butterscotch Leather, Size:6.5
$189.90
Yes, yes, and yes. These boots were comfortable and fit like a dream. I have plenty of room for my thick socks and a pair of jeans. The color is a good mix between cognac and brown, so they can really sway whatever direction you feel like that day. They also hit right below my knee, which is perfect for a shortie like me. (They are not supposed to be over the knee boots, fyi.) Yes, I know I picked up riding boots earlier this year, but I’ll explain everything in my budget post tomorrow (hint, something is going back to the store.)

KUT from the Kloth Catherine Distressed Boyfriend Jeans, 0P Petite
$59.90
These were interesting. The first time I tried them on, I was iffy. The second time I tried them on, I liked them a lot more. In petite sizing, the lengths actually hit all of the right spots, though I rolled it down so it would hit farther on my ankle. The distressing/rips also hit in the correct spot as well. Since I got a 0 and not 2, they are a little more fitted, but 2 wouldn’t have fit correctly in the waist. I’m still on the fence about these, especially with the $60 price tag. I have a few other (non Nordstrom) jeans I’m going to wait to compare them with) before I make a final call.
Verdict: Undecided.
Vince Camuto Polka Dot Pleat, Rich Black, Size:0
$65.90
This skirt was adorable (and I know my mom will love it), but as a petite girl, I felt completely overwhelmed in it. It was just a bit too long and because it was pleated, there was no way that it could be easily hemmed. The pros about this skirt though (because it was really cute): it’s really light weight and airy. It’ll pair well with a lot of things and be great for work. If you’re a few inches taller than 5 feet, go for it.
Verdict: Return
Halogen® Pleat Midi Skirt, Navy Indigo, X-Small
$49.90
Honestly, for this skirt, basically ditto everything above, though I felt a little less overwhelmed in this one. Had it been easily able to be hemmed, I would have definitely kept it. The fabric was also a little bit heavier and would have been good for fall.
Verdict: Return
Dreamers by Debut Forward Seam Tunic Sweater, Dark Plum, X-Small
$29.90
This sweater was so soft and comfortable. It was a little oversized and I loved the drop sleeves. It’s definitely too casual for work, especially with the outside seams. I also just couldn’t justify a reason for another sweater.
Verdict: Return
Madewell Gingham Check Pull-On, Gwen Check, X-Small
19.99
These shorts were a lot more comfortable than I was expecting! They were also really cute and I was all ready thinking of things to wear them with as I was trying them on. I know that they look like pajama shorts in this picture, but if you were watching my insta-stories this past weekend, then you know that they don’t in person.
Verdict: Keep
Nike Juvenate SE, Size 6
$70.90
Yes, I have a Nike Juvenate problem, no I am not ashamed. They’re just too comfortable. Also, I’ve been debating a plain black pair of workout shoes because every pair of workout shoes I own is some crazy bright color. Which is fun…but can only go so well when your pants are a crazy bright color as well. I’m still debating though. I need to see how my August budget pans out.
Verdict: Maybe?
Natori Feathers Underwire Contour, Cosmetic, $44.90
I’m in the process of getting rid of a lot of old bras and I’ve heard such good things about the Natori bras that I figured it was time to try one out. I completely understand the hype. I was in love with this bra as soon as I tried it on. It’s not only cute, but it’s comfortable and offered good support. Now the question is, do I try on more before the sale ends?

Wacoal How Perfect No-Wire Contour Bra, Navy Peacoat
$39.90
The first thing I thought while trying this bra on was, oh my gosh, this bra is so soft (no joke). The next thing: oh and it’s really comfortable too! I’ve been getting more and more into wireless bras lately and this one might be my new favorite. The only thing I didn’t like? It wasn’t available in a light beige color. There was a deep tan/brown color though, so if you have darker skin and you’re looking for a nude color bra, go check this one out!
Verdict; Keep
