Do Something Good
Did you know how much waste is created by old clothes? Whether it’s because you’re tossing out clothes or just over donating clothes, the world actually ends up throwing out about 92 million tons of textile waste.
A handful of companies have been finding new ways to circumvent this (for instance, did you know that jeans can be turned into housing insulation? Thank you American Eagle!). But Adidas by Stella McCartney may have just found the way to win with their new clothing recycling opportunity.
Adidas by Stella McCartney has decided that the newest sweatshirt in their line will be the first garment to be made out of purified and liquified old cotton to create a new material. This is such a great idea and i hope more companies follow Adidas by Stella McCartney in will begin to make products out of recycled material.
